ball rolling on a marble surface FX
hi all i m doing some sound design for a flash game,
i gotta produce the sound of ball that roll on a marble surface, i m sure my mighty snow can do such a sound, but where to start!! help would be greatly appreciated! thx all |
Hey KoLekt0r!
Why not use a condensor mic to record one (and then use Seamless Looper or similar to loop the sample, if desired)? It's quite a complex sort of sound, and I have no idea where to start programming one! Using a mic, you can also easily record the marble at different speeds or rolling on different surfaces as per required, or bumping into stuff too, like hitting a hard edge, etc. |
well thx for the reply !
i thought about going the same way too , but it will require more investment, my snow already cost me quite a lot , i m after a way to do this with synthesis ! :p i think about getting a mic or recorder, its on my wish list :p |
also think that sampling the sounds would give the result a more realistic touch.
just cut the rolling sound with very detailed zoom at the zero line ... then it will loop seamless. well ... in my youth i spent much time on marble madness :) |
