I actually got a reply from Virus regarding the unforgivable usage of "it's" as a possessive pronoun on Page 2 of the Virus Snow demo:

There is never enough grammar policemen. Well spotted that Black Sabbath ripoff, too.

I remember once there was a TV commercial in Finland that had some sort of Tom Waits ripoff music in it. One fan e-mailed Waits about it and Tom personally answered that mail giving his thanks to the fan - There was a law-suit against the commercial in no time.

well, the guy who replied to your email was me. the guy who did the unforgivable mistake was also me. the guy who wrote the demo was: also me. i don't care if you post my reply to a public mailing list, but next time, please delete my email address first - i get enough spam already.

as for ripping of black sabbath, you better listen closer before you accuse people for no reason. and you get the author's permission before you rip their entire songs and put them online for everybody.

P.s. Are you trying to say that rain, thunder and church bells are not trademarks of Black Sabbath?

i didn't know that rain, thunder and church bells are a trademark of black sabbath (which is probably down to the fact that i don't listen to their music). but what has one to do with the other? the snow song doesn't contain rain and/or thunder.

what's i'm referring to is "nicked [..] STRAIGHT OFF Black Sabbath".

You probably shouldn't take posts of off topic (or the whole board, to be exact) too serious. This board comes with this huge tag:



We all oldtimers are current or at least former users of Access synths and respect your company. The reason why this board is still a live and there are many users that still hang around here even they have sold their Virus ages ago is that it's based on very hippy anarchy. We moderate only in cases of:
a) Illegalities (piracy, child porn, lobbing for the Republicans, etc)
b) Personal malevolent insulting, flaming and fight picking.
c) Non-Virus-releated advertising
d) Anything forum Hitlers consider worth moderating.

This means the board is highly informal and most of the stuff here is sarcasm and general stupidity.

We Finns have a saying about Savolaxians: "When talking to a Savolaxian, the responsibility is on the listener". That same saying goes well with this board, except there are forum members instead of Savolaxians and the responsibility is on the reader.

So no worries about accusitions. We are all community care patients with medication.
