Behring.. oh why oh why..

Well, I got myself a BCR2000 controller for Xmas. It arrived late, but it seems it got here faster than sysex messages get to it via Sonar.
Boo. I'm well pissed off. This could be my first return to Thomann ever.
:-(

Doc Jones 02.01.2008 07:13 PM

that sucks. sysex being sent over the usb cable? you using the latest drivers?

I have a BCF2000 and have no problem at all except for the noisy motorized faders... all working fine.
regards, Lorenzo

Old Vantaa Man 03.01.2008 09:34 AM

Doc mate. Yes, got the latest drivers, firmware, etc. Damn thing does not work.

The girl next door 03.01.2008 01:08 PM

you using it on a USB hub??
If not try changing USB ports..
and/or try installing Sonar an the BCR/F on a different PC and see if there is a change

Old Vantaa Man 04.01.2008 10:14 AM

Yeah, USB. Sonar recognises it cos it's listed in the available midi devices - by name no less.

Tried using it through midi ports on my Multiface too, but no action. I honestly think it's just bust.

Old Vantaa Man 04.01.2008 07:00 PM

Bloody hell. GND inspired me to try it with Ableton. It bloody works fine..

jasedee 04.01.2008 10:33 PM

So Sonar is the culprit?

Old Vantaa Man 05.01.2008 07:02 AM

Yeah, seems so. Been on the cakewalk message boards and there seems to be issues with these two together :-(

Maybe I'll get one of these instead:
