do you back-up your sound banks?

I'm thinking of downloading some new patch sets, butt I am scared it will overwrite the work I have already done. Can I set the destination of the patch to c-h? All my stuff is on A right now. I will not be using soundiver cause it gives me a headache. I upload my midi thru cubase. Can someone give me some quick tips to do this. thanx guys

you can dump your bank A to a midi file in cubase and reload it whenever you want! i do that every time i fill up my 128 patches of banks A and B.
You go to system menu, then MIDI page, you set the dump mode to Bank A (as you will find more options like Arrnagement, All.....), you put a slow bpm preferably 60bpm, you hit rec in cubase and hit store...

make sure the track you record in has the same midi channel as your virus global midi channel, usually 1 or 16, also make sure to disable sysex filtering in cubase (options menu i think)

You can save you A or B banks to any other of the banks too (C,D,E ect) by burning the flash ram. Of course you must be carefull doing so though.

System/multi edit menu > Store to flash option.

I usually back up to midi file, but when I'm completely happy with a whole bank I burn it to flash. I wanna fill the whole VC up with my sounds. :D
