Influential tracks now classics maybe?

Loved this when it was out and still a classic in my book, Herbie an extrodinary Jazz and Electro performing musician of Rock-it.

Not sure if it was the pioneering commercial scratching (Grandmaster Flash from the furios five fame performing and initiating the scratch), the synth, the jazz riff that instigates goose pimples or the automated mannequins in the video. The sequence of it all worked so well, even if retro now it stands the test of time in my book.

A CLASSIC!

I loved this song when I was a young breakdancer. The video ruled with the robotic mannequins. I got the whole album through the columbia house record club. I was so disappointed at how boring the rest of the record was and how much it sucked.

True the album was not good but he has certainly had some more interesting one 10 years post rock it.

...another - Tim Simenons still into producing I believe

Still love this often a forgetten classic ..this along with 'across the tracks' and 'funky drummer' to be played on my shiny new technics in the late 80;'s ')

This video summs up a lot of feelings and memories of people out their heads and of their tits...oh to be young again he e e e ;)

Reminds me of 2 more

Love this track always fit in a set if I can :)

The first time of experimental madness...memorys/flashbacks if you know what how to control then you understand what a good trip is

Hope peeps dont mind sharing some memories as its coming to the end of another decade...anymore my grey matter can reach to will post.

Always diverse and never boring, I hope.

The first track I listened to when getting high for the very first time and probably one of the best tracks to get high to...driving around in a Citreon 2 cv with 3 mates lol...says it all really!

As far as Herbie Hancock goes - I mostly like the stuff from 60s-70s.. thats when he was at his prime in playing awesome synth and rhodes stuff with Davis and then onto his own Headhunters stuff. I still get into the Chameleon solo, love what he does with that synth and filtering/resonance passes as part of his solo licks.
