F1 Racing
Since i had to start the year with an track and with zero insperation i made this little chip-tune in about 20 minutes;
http://www.faihido.com/upload/music/...1%20racing.mp3 Maybe i'll finish in next year, but now i am quite fed up with the sound Edit: 886kb in size |
LOL......not bad man.....
DS  |
A bit strange.....But I can see where it could go.
All it needs is a stompin beat and bad ass bass line! |
Really reminds me of a tracker demo on the Amiga. Brings back memories actually. :D
Like Jase said, add a big beat and bass to make this take off. It would form like a mix of the old with the new. Good to see you coming out with some new stuff mate! |
Sounds good. Is that a VC for race car sound? Did HC had a race car patch for VC?

Nah, it's only Reason in this track. Althou i was thinking of using some virus-sounds in this one but i thought that it was sounding ok anyways.

Nice chip sound you got here. Nice. |
I know, all chip-tunes should be made in some sort of a tracker; but my old Win95 computer takes so damn long to boot so i did this in reason.
But anyways; thanks! |
Cool!
I like it Bro! This might make me break out my racing gloves! 8) -AlexHall74 |
LOL
great |
WTF is chip?
|
chip = c64-songs. or old school NES games if you like that kind of music.
80ies homecomputer music. hehe |
Definitely not CHiP as in CHiPs from the 70's with Eric Estrada as "Ponch".
You would need a six string and a wah pedal for that tune! -AlexHall74 |

I hear that you can play a mean six-string guitar and kill 200 men at the same time. Is that true? |

Do I get to pick the 200 people? How much time do I have to finish the job? This is a lot of information to handle at once, I'm going to have to get you in touch with my agent... -AlexHall74 |
Errr.. Now i get confused - I just woke up. I gotta get back to you with the hitlist

I'll get warmed up here by dishing out some nasty chops on the gee-tar. Have you ever tried to use a CHIP song in a game? If someone has a game SDK or is a game developer I guess this can be done? That would be really cool to write music for video games. It's almost like a film soundtrack but different in that it is interactive. Something to think about... -AlexHall74 |
I have acctually used some chip-tunes in a game that me and my brother was 'developing' - it was called "Knarktr?skets konung" (which translates to something like; Druglord! - Scary isn't? hehe).
The problem was that we where writing it in basic; and we could only figure out how to make it play the first 10 seconds on the track - so if you'd play that game more than 10 minutes you went mental on the music. We never finished that game. But it was alot of fun - it was an regular buy drugs/sell drugs althou only in swedish + you could only go around in Stockholm + everybody that was selling drugs had the names of our friends so they loved the game. Edit: by the way - the quote comes from a movie -> Six-String Samurai. Really nice movie http://imdb.com/title/tt0118736/ |
Can I ask a stupid question?
WTF is a "Tracker"...... |
I cant explain what an tracker is - atleast not in english. You want the swedish version? hehe
|
DUDE!
I am definitley checking out "Six String Samurai"; I have watched every old skool classic kung fu flick and this sounds like a good spoof. That's cool that you and your Bro made the tune work to some degree 3o3; it sounds like you were on your way to making Quote:

Alright; An tracker is an sampler-based sequencer (althou some of the new trackers have built-in synthesizers) -> anyways you load in the sample and from there you got an step-sequencer from where you 'track' your music. Most trackers also don't got effects/midi/vsti-support at all. Search for say, Fasttracker 2 (by starbreeze studios before they got into making games for xbox), screamtracker (http://www.united-trackers.org/resou...eamtracker.htm) by the finnish Future Crew and so on. |
