I have acctually used some chip-tunes in a game that me and my brother was 'developing' - it was called "Knarktr?skets konung" (which translates to something like; Druglord! - Scary isn't? hehe).
The problem was that we where writing it in basic; and we could only figure out how to make it play the first 10 seconds on the track - so if you'd play that game more than 10 minutes you went mental on the music. We never finished that game. But it was alot of fun - it was an regular buy drugs/sell drugs althou only in swedish + you could only go around in Stockholm + everybody that was selling drugs had the names of our friends so they loved the game. Edit: by the way - the quote comes from a movie -> Six-String Samurai. Really nice movie http://imdb.com/title/tt0118736/ |
Can I ask a stupid question?
WTF is a "Tracker"...... |

Alright; An tracker is an sampler-based sequencer (althou some of the new trackers have built-in synthesizers) -> anyways you load in the sample and from there you got an step-sequencer from where you 'track' your music. Most trackers also don't got effects/midi/vsti-support at all. Search for say, Fasttracker 2 (by starbreeze studios before they got into making games for xbox), screamtracker (http://www.united-trackers.org/resou...eamtracker.htm) by the finnish Future Crew and so on. |
