Wrong connection?

I've downloaded the 1024 soundset patch many times before, from my computer to my indigoII. I've got a common SB audigy soundcard and there are two midi connections - in- and output. I connect the soundcard's out with the synth's in and so on. Then I open the patch in Cubase and so far everything's okay. But when I try to download the patch to the synth, it doesn't respond at all. I've configurated the midiports, but they are all emulated... is that the problem or have I forgotten to do anything?

Not too sure what you mean by "Emulated"?

There are the usual things you can try, like:

*Make sure Cubase is not filtering any Sysex data
*Make sure you have the proper settings in Virus (See Virus manual)
*Make sure you are transmitting/recieving on the same MIDI channel
*Make sure playback is set around 60BPM

Seeing as you have done this before the above may not be too usefull for you, but hope it helps anyway!

Good luck!

Me neither, it just says so... It's so strange that it worked before and now it doesn't. Maybe I should go and buy myself a new sound card.

Well, this is a MIDI relat ed problem, so the soundcard may not need replacing, maybe a better quality MIDI interface???

Contact SB tech support, or Access tech support. Im sure between them they can help out....

Try some other media player like Winamp or Windos Media Player.

Also, even though you say you checked try to swap your 'in' 'out', even if you've read the leads.
My friend once but the 'in' lead from the SB to the 'in' on the synth. This is WRONG. Just make sure this is not your prob.
Correct way!
The SB 'out' plugs to synths 'in'.
The SB 'in' plugs to synths 'out'.
Or maybe your leads are labeled the opposite way.

I've solved the damn problem, so how do I change the subject?

Btw, thank you (people) very much for your help! :D The real problem is my soundcard, so I have to buy a new soon.
