DIGITAL SCREAMS 01.01.2005 11:11 PM

LOL......not bad man.....

DS

jasedee 01.01.2005 11:36 PM

A bit strange.....But I can see where it could go.

All it needs is a stompin beat and bad ass bass line!

Hollowcell 02.01.2005 11:24 PM

Really reminds me of a tracker demo on the Amiga. Brings back memories actually. :D

Like Jase said, add a big beat and bass to make this take off. It would form like a mix of the old with the new.

Good to see you coming out with some new stuff mate!

tranzash 03.01.2005 01:29 AM

Sounds good. Is that a VC for race car sound? Did HC had a race car patch for VC?

I forgot about that sound. I ended up deleting all that bank. It's not my patch though I think.

3o3 04.01.2005 06:16 AM

Nah, it's only Reason in this track. Althou i was thinking of using some virus-sounds in this one but i thought that it was sounding ok anyways.

Hey! Chip tunes should be made in trackers.

Nice chip sound you got here. Nice.

3o3 04.01.2005 05:20 PM

I know, all chip-tunes should be made in some sort of a tracker; but my old Win95 computer takes so damn long to boot so i did this in reason.

But anyways; thanks!

AlexHall74 04.01.2005 06:37 PM

Cool!
I like it Bro!

This might make me break out my racing gloves!

jasedee 04.01.2005 07:17 PM

WTF is chip?

3o3 04.01.2005 07:40 PM

chip = c64-songs. or old school NES games if you like that kind of music.

80ies homecomputer music. hehe

AlexHall74 04.01.2005 08:56 PM

Definitely not CHiP as in CHiPs from the 70's with Eric Estrada as "Ponch".

You would need a six string and a wah pedal for that tune!

Chip is also a basic tracker tune that has restricted amout of samples. For example 4kB chip.

Yah. But easiest way of explaining chip-music is by saying "old games music". h?h?

For some reason the quote that appears in my mind is;

I hear that you can play a mean six-string guitar and kill 200 men at the same time. Is that true?

Would I have to kill the 200 men with the music or with the guitar itself?

Do I get to pick the 200 people?

How much time do I have to finish the job?

This is a lot of information to handle at once, I'm going to have to get you in touch with my agent...

HA! Nice!

I'll get warmed up here by dishing out some nasty chops on the gee-tar.

Have you ever tried to use a CHIP song in a game?

If someone has a game SDK or is a game developer I guess this can be done?

That would be really cool to write music for video games. It's almost like a film soundtrack but different in that it is interactive.

Something to think about...

3o3 06.01.2005 04:29 AM

I have acctually used some chip-tunes in a game that me and my brother was 'developing' - it was called "Knarktr?skets konung" (which translates to something like; Druglord! - Scary isn't? hehe).

The problem was that we where writing it in basic; and we could only figure out how to make it play the first 10 seconds on the track - so if you'd play that game more than 10 minutes you went mental on the music.

We never finished that game. But it was alot of fun - it was an regular buy drugs/sell drugs althou only in swedish + you could only go around in Stockholm + everybody that was selling drugs had the names of our friends so they loved the game.

Edit: by the way - the quote comes from a movie -> Six-String Samurai. Really nice movie http://imdb.com/title/tt0118736/

jasedee 06.01.2005 08:56 AM

Can I ask a stupid question?

WTF is a "Tracker"......

3o3 06.01.2005 10:10 AM

I cant explain what an tracker is - atleast not in english. You want the swedish version? hehe

AlexHall74 06.01.2005 01:04 PM

DUDE!
I am definitley checking out "Six String Samurai"; I have watched every old skool classic kung fu flick and this sounds like a good spoof.

That's cool that you and your Bro made the tune work to some degree 3o3; it sounds like you were on your way to making

Haven't you seen Ghostrider? or Getaway Stockholm? those flicks are great if you are intrested in cars/motorcycles. Althou i can't say Getaway Stockholm 3 is as equally good as the first two.

Hurdy burdy.. Moot moot!

Alright; An tracker is an sampler-based sequencer (althou some of the new trackers have built-in synthesizers) -> anyways you load in the sample and from there you got an step-sequencer from where you 'track' your music. Most trackers also don't got effects/midi/vsti-support at all.

Search for say, Fasttracker 2 (by starbreeze studios before they got into making games for xbox), screamtracker (http://www.united-trackers.org/resou...eamtracker.htm) by the finnish Future Crew and so on.
