How to change patches during song ??
 

Is there a way to change patches whilst using the TI as a single channel instrument ? I know that if I am using it while using 2 or more of the channels, I can simply create a new midi lane for the patch I want it to change to (for instance after 16 bars) But I f I have inserted the vst as 1 lane vst instrument, is there a way to do this ? Mostly for when I want a slight variation of a certain patch, say a bass patch, and then I want it to play a variation of it for another 16 , then simply switch back to the patch it was before ?? I know as well I can automate the controls for a varaiation, but sometimes I like to change the patch up quite a bit and dont want lots of automation going on. Hope this makes sense to someone.
