Why wait 1.5 seconds for VC window?

This is on Win and OS X: when I click the little e button in Cubase to open VC it takes about 1.5 seconds for it to open. Other plugs are so much faster. Is there no way to improve this? MaF

got something like this in FL Studio 8.0.0 XXL ( i use ableton too and there its like 2 sekonds ) so but in FL it needs like 3 - 5 seconds just to show up, the booting go's fast enough for me.

i don't know if there is a way to improve this but you have a valid point. we'll look into it.

If you could improve this, that would be fantastic. I too noticed the delay, but really didn't think anything of it as it wasn't THAT long. I figured it took time to sync up to the external hardware where software only VSTi don't. Bonus for sure if you could shorten the wait time. I assume those with slower computers will suffer more however.

Please correct me if I am mistaken, but I honestly can't think of any valid reason why you would need VC to load faster than 1.5 seconds. Access surely have bigger fish to fry, such as writing 64 bit VC anyway...right guys? :P

Or hunting down the timing/sync issues that many people still have. Oh, wait! I forgot. There is no timing/sync issue. Carry on. :D

yeah, this just forces me not to use VC often or never hide it otherwise

Actually I noticed too that the VC takes longer than all other windows in Cubase to pop up. Not by much (1.5s), but just enough to be an annoyance.

I just never close VC and just keep in the background.
