What is the difference betw Keyboard and Polar?

apart from the look, of course.

Just the form factor and aesthetics.

I think the keybed on the 37-note Polar is a general synth-action, so it's slightly different to the semi-weighted 61-note TI. - However, both still transmit velocity and aftertouch.

That's all there is to it.

I am doing the same research........ I want/need the most flexible studio/live hardware......

So they just want to access some of nordlead clients.

I mean attract.

Err... more keys. And you get this really neat bit of 'blank space' on the keyboard version, which is a handy place to put your computer keyboard. Otherwise, no difference in the synth engine, operating system etc.

Meaning Polar is less (since keyboard is the standard)

Keyboard: Lots of keys and room for coffe and breakfast on the side.
P?lar: Portable, you won?t break your back when taking it to a gig.

I own the Polar and while it looks amazing + fits just perfect in my small home studio, I have to admit that more than 1 time I wished I had 1 more octave to play with ;)

The TI 61 key version uses a really high quality nice semi weighted action. The Polar uses more of a 'synth' action....spongier....plasticy......

The TI 61 key version is significantly larger and has more presence and wow factor - resale value is likely to be higher as people just wont want to spend the same kinda money on a 37 key version.

Thats the only real difference. Both have identicial synth engines

I would luuuuuurve a 49-note Polar Virus TI 2.

The extra keys will also make room for a ribbon controller/XY-pad and a proper joystick. :) Access, you know ya wanna! :D
