Can the Virus make choir pads like this (audio link inside!)

Hi,

I don't have a Virus synth yet (still waiting for the TI release), but I was wondering if the Virus can make what I call "choir pads" like in following song:

Listen here: http://www.astralmusic.com//ItemMult...17781_2_01.wvx. The track is "Lange Ft Kirsty Hawkshaw - Sincere for you (Thrillseekers Mix)". Skip forward to 2:00 and then you will hear some kind of choir pad sound that comes in!

Can this Virus make this, does it even have these kind of sounds as presets or should I get a Triton or Fantom for those kind of pads?!

If the Virus has these sounds as presets or they can be programmed, could you PLEASE post some audio demos as example?! I would really appreciate it alot!! Thanks very much!!

Cheers, Mike.

a sample based module would do this best.
a triton+virus setup is also a good idea if you can afford it.

If you have reason, there are some NN-XT choir patches. Won't sound half as good as the thrillseekers' sound tho.

You could make choir pads or any formants with the virus, use the spectral waves (esp 15,16,39,45), bandpass filters in parallel mode, verbs, chorus and carefull adsr. Modulate the osc pitch for vibrato :)

Hi,

Isn't it so that the pad in the above streaming audio link is a synth choir pad rather then a a real choir? What do you think? If so, isn't there anybody here who could recreate that kind of sound with the Virus and post an audio demo here?! Doesn't the Virus have these kind of synth choir pads in its presets?

Anyway, I would REALLY appreciate it if people could actually post some audio examples of either presets or self-made sounds like this cause at my local store they don't have a Virus synth right now (they're waiting for the TI).

PS: if finding upload space is the problem, just let me know in your reply.

Thanks to all who want to help with this!! :)

Tritons are crappy on modern standards. Fatom X or Motif ES is the way to go. Everyone supporting Tritons will be lynched.

You shouldn't expect any brilliant results from synth choirs. Afterall synth choirs are synth choirs like synth strings are synth strings.

Hmm... I listened to the track. I couldn't hear any choirs. Only a soft choirlike pad. Maybe a layered pad of a sampled choir and an analog pad. Should be really easy to do. Basic stuff.

Every studio should have all three Spectrasonics plugins. And why is that? Because there are no bad sounds in those sample sets.
