Disapointed in TI bass patchs..

I just want fat bass.. All the bass has tons of effects and is all crazy.. I just want raw clean fat bass.. like daft punk or what you hear in rap songs.. Wheres all the NORMAL bass presets..

hmm... did you try to program your own?

but anyway, the virus is not so great for deep sh101\minimoog basses

Aye indeed. Try to program your own patches. I'll bet ya there is atleast 100 tips on how to get nice bass-sounds outta the virus on this board

This is the reason why people use true analog monosynths....

....you know....the shitty kind that dont have menue's and patch memory storage. Some dont even use midi....

Check out analog monosynths like the Sequential Pro-One and Korg Mono-Poly

I've never been a fan of the Virus bass either (although I haven't tried a TI yet). The filters work really great if you run a solid bass through them though (from another source of course)!

Another vote for an Analogue mono here.

I think the Virus basses are good!,
In this example, music too a local theater, I used the Virus for bass, Roland Fantom XR accordion, and motif8 strings, and loops from Primesound.

I think it depends on the genre. For your music, yes it works well.

If you would like to listen to the sort of bass I like/need for my music, go to the soundclick link in my signature and play my "Chunky CS10" clip. The Virus can't do bass like that unfortunately.

Read that You make som proccesing via the Virus, hmm maybe I shall try to route the JP-6 to the Virus inputs 8)

A loop in a other genre example ( 5 part Virus ( 1 pad, 2 arps and 2 basses) + Dist.gtr from Fantom XR):

Yup the Virus filters are great for processing bass, it's just a pitty the OSCs aren't really the best for making it.

In the end, it is personal choice though. :D

Which Synths do you guys recommend for bass? I've been waiting for my virus ti desktop since december, and I've had it with waiting (that and the fact that it appears to have a lot of issues).

Any alternatives in the price range?
