multi mode

can anyone tell me how can I use(and to do what) the multi mode?
can all the 16 parts be played at the same time? if so, how?
I AM TALKING ABOUT VIRUS ONLY AS HARDWARE!

Which Virus are u using?

When u say you are using the Virus only as hardware, do you mean you are not using it in conjunction with a sequencer?

All you need to do is enter multi (or multi-single) mode, and assign whatever patches you want to each of the 16 parts, then assign which MIDI channel you want each part to output on. If you chose MIDI channel 1 for each of the 16 parts, all 16 parts will play at the same time.

We needed to know if you were a sequencer to answer the question.

For what you are trying to do, the answer is you CANT without a sequencer (hardware or software).

Impatient little bugger!

Like I said before, read up on the basics of MIDI as boring as it may be it will help!

The trouble is that I dont have a Virus TI, Im using a Virus C so I cant help that much. But yeh, Merlot is right, unless you are using a sequencer that seems playing 2 different sounds on 2 different channels would be difficult. But why would you want to do that? Couldnt you just assign both parts to the same MIDI channel? You also could use another MIDI controller I guess

You could do this, but I thought he was wanting to assign a somthing like a bass part on 1 and a pad on 2. But if he wants to combine basses and such and play them at the same time, then yep, add then use the same MIDI channel.
