Sound design noob help
Hello all,
I want to start making some sounds of my own, where is a good place to start? are there any good tutorials (commercial / free) on sound design with the TI? I want to get to know how to use my synth to its full potential, though when I start tweeking from scratch I don't really achieve much, well anything remotely like a preset... And the presets are bloody amazing! any help would be greatly appreciated cheers |
You could start with Howard Scarr's tutorial (pdf) which is included in the Access software download suite under Programs\Access Music\Virus TI\Documentation\Tutorial\Programming Analog Synths. the tutorial refers to a set of patches you should also find among your downloads.

That soundonsound.com link is great.
The monthly music mags like FutureMusic and Computermusic often make issues dedicated entirely to synths and sound design which are good. Always worth checking their backcatalog availability or sometimes for a PDF thats roaming around the net. |
cheers for reply synthonix, I will check it out, have you ever stumbled over a TI specific mag tute on your travels?
