Sounds like your generic hypersaw/squares with some nice distortion/overdrive on it.
|
To get this, I would:
1. Set osc 1 to supersaw with some detune, width fairly narrow. 2. Set osc 2 to full on square (pulse), and do 50/50 osc balance. 3. Use low pass filters with about 40%-60% resonance and keyboard tracking set to +max, tune the resonant bit to the rest of the notes. Use this to get the pure-sounding sheen over the top. 4. Saturate your filters with some light distortion, then apply light distortion in the effects section. 5. Add a small amount of reverb with a long-ish tail and a fairly dark colour. 7. EQ out everything below 300hz. 8. Mayhaps add/adjust analog boost. 9. Set mono Not tried it, but... Yus. That would be my guess. -Annikk |

ahhh i hoped this would be it :S but no =( |
How do you feel about this?
Defqon test Just a quickie, and done in one patch, but I have a feeling you will get a closer result if you use two sounds. One distorted square and one high pitched classical supersaw 1 or 2 octaves above.. slightly add some high rate lfo modulation on the pitch to give it more "scream" Best, Alex |
That sounds a bit closer for the square sound, mind posting up what you did the same way annik did? Want to try running that sound through my Filterbank and seeing how it comes out :D.

Add a little FM Noise fizzzzz.
Or ramp up the LFOs to the maximum speed and use them to subtly modulate Osc1&2 pitch for buzzy distortion. Alter the LFO waveshapes for slightly different characters. Tame to taste with the filter. |
