One thing I REALLY miss in VC (New bank functionality)

I dunno if this has been up already, or if there is another solution, but I miss:

The ability to create a new empty bank with a new filename! As it is now, I have to go to the "Patches" folder, duplicate one of the midi files already there, rename it, close and re-open my session (to have the new file appear in the list) and then open up the new bank in VC, and delete the patches there, to achieve this.

How about just a "New bank..." in the dropdown list where you choose what bank you want to display, popping up a dialog prompting for the banks new filename and voila - there it is?

Best,
Alex

I fully agree with you

Yes please!! Couldn't agree more! :) In the meantime, you can backup the "My Patches.mid" file that gets created on install, and copy that to a new name for an empty bank.

I thought it was just me who couldnt figure it out.

Yeah but it's basically the same procedure I stated earlier, minus having to delete any patches happening to be in the bank.. :) But yeah, it's smarter to have an empty bank like "my patches" always available for duplicating. It's not like I make new banks all the time either, but I think it's basic functionality that needs to be there. Anyways, I was told they would pass my suggestion on, but couldn't promise anything. So we'll see! ;)

Imagine working in Photoshop, and when you wanted to make a new document you had to quit photoshop, duplicate a .psd, restart PS, open the file and delete whatever layers happening to be there if you didn't duplicate an already empty .psd ;)
