would like a .mid file myself, having trouble gettin a bass from the virus that sits in the mix nicely. any help would be appreciated

I'm sorry I never put up midi files. I'm doing grad school, lamaze (sp?) classes, moving, work, putting up with the wife... My studio isn't even together at the new house. I will try and do this when I can. Again, I appologize for not sending the midi files.

Anyway, I found that using the sinewave sub osc and keeping the filter on low (no unison) with a good dose of rectifier distortion produces a pretty badass bass sound.

I have to say to ANYONE who's interested in "programming" a Virus; read "Virus programming tutorial" on Access-Music's site http://www.access-music.de/downloads...virustidesktop (at the bottom of the page at the time of this post).

It was written by Howard Scarr, a very talented sound designer, who also made a bank and then some of the ROM sounds in your TI. The paper is VERY easy to follow and EXPLAINS how to create particular categories of sound.

Howard Scarr's patches are really the best amongst them all!
He creates patches that you really would have problems to even imagine whereas the patches of the other sounddesigners are bread'n'butter sounds that are very easy to create...

keep up the good work howard!

I am sorry, but I do not agree with you on the b'n'b sounds!

Ben Crosland (yeah yeah, Ben, I am sorry about the dual sets of teeth :D but here comes the brown nosing) and the other lot are very VERY good sound designers, and have made IMHO excellent patches to demonstrate the power and versatility of the Virus.

I also like the Elements sound set created by Tarekith (can be downloaded from Access-Music's web site).

Thanks :)

I think that Mathew Stolley's soundsets have the best basses personally, especially his second one. You can get them on the Access site in the C series downloads.
