Hello from New York

I'm a soon-to-be Virus TI user (my order is placed, anyway). I found this site while scouring the web looking for info on the potential shipping date--a pretty common scenario, it seems!

I've been producing dance music (progressive house, techno, some trance and ambient) for about a year so far. After much frustration using Logic on a 867 Mhz Powerbook I recently moved up to a dual 1.8 GHz G5 and Logic 7--and I'm much happier now :-)

The TI will be my first hardware synth (though lines are getting blurred). For a long time I was debating between the Virus C and the Nord Modular G2 but didn't have the money to buy either. The TI announcement decided it for me and as luck would have it some extra money came my way at exactly the same time.

Welcome! :D

Another first hardware synth buyer. The TI seems to be making converters out of the software guys. Nice. :D

~Welcome Ti Planet Virus~

If the Ti is encouraging people to pick up some hardware, then it must be good!!!

Well, I've wanted a top-flight hardware synth from the word go--up until now it's been a matter of finances rather than lack of desire.

Funny thing is, if I had had the money earlier I would have bought a C or a Nord G2 and now I would be kicking myself for not having waited. Or I'd be scrambling to sell the first machine.

That said, I think it's surely a fact that those who had avoided hardware before are going to find the TI very tempting. Access definitely understands what it has to do to stay alive in this age of multi-Ghz desktop processors, DSP cards, and killer soft synths.
