Waveform Descriptions
Hey guys,
First time poster here :D I was wondering if there was any resource that outlined what each wavetable was intended to "sound like". For example, in Reason's Subtractor there's a short overview of the timbre of the additional waveforms - I find it useful to go to as a reference when tweaking sounds. Anyway, just trying to make my life a bit simple rather then going through every single wavetable when I'm working on sounds :) Cheers! |
I would like to know to! :)

The wavetables' names often explain the overall character, like "sqrseries" is well, a series of squarewaves.

After using them a lot for a while, your ear will know what shapes to go for and where they are... and you eventually will memorize a few favorite ones you tend to go for more often than others.
