Here it's a disaster, USB conflict with other devices. No problems in previous version.

Virus TI plugin v 3.0.1.10 doesn't work in Cubase SX 3.1.1

I mean a USB conflict message with other devices connected to my computer appear when Logic is come up. Try to change the usb connection putting Snow on the self powered hub or on the back usb ports but the conflict is still on.
Back to previous version solve the problem.....this problem...not the others....but that's another story.....

did you load the vst3 version?

Mark the arp function did not work inthe vst3 09 version, is this fixed?
also can you create an "enable ARP note out" button next to the hold button? so you can select this from the DAW rather than the TI synth itself?

I have installed only VST2 plugins. Cubase shows only Virus TI Snow plugin, it doesn't load the Virus TI plugin. When I open Plug-in Information window, the Virus TI line is brown and it shows only name and path of the plugin. Virus TI Snow plugin is displayed normaly.

going back doesn't solve your problem, 3.0.1.09 just doesn't display an error message because the error message wasn't implemented in older builds. the problem you are having was there the whole time. also you're talking about other problems. can you elaborate?

Unfortunately this can't happen. I asked Joerg at Access about having a button to toggle ARP NOTE SEND from within VC, instead of the synth itself, and he said it can't be done due to that setting being a global setting for the synth itself??

I thought it would be much easier as well to handle everything while you are already on the page, but alas I will not hold my breath for that to be implemented.

Strange as well how the ARP NOTE SEND can only be done on odd number parts to boot. Another confirmation from Access that this is a hardware limitation. No clue why, but they are aware of this and state it is normal behaviour.

i faced exactly the same problem with Sonar 8.3.1
after installed 3.0.1.10 , and the time i try to load Virus TI vst plugin , Sonar cannot load it , and it crash badly :(:(:(

Live 8.0.1 doesn't like Version 3.0.1.10 either...
Keeps crashing on loading...
Also on Live 7.0.15 gui is gone bye bye...

back to 3.0.1.09 , and everything works fine again ;)

yep, the virus control wont even open with ableton 6 :mad:, it just leaves the blank display where the vc should be,..... jesus why cant they just release a stable version3 that works instead of all these messed up betas. now it doesnt even work, leaves you thinking they cant have even tested it with the most widely used sequencers.

so ill be going back to 3.0.109 but even that didnt work properly for me and kept crashing in ableton. version3.0 was the only decent one i had , does anyone have the installer for it, i deleted it but now i need it again.

I'm using VC with Live 7 and a desktop TI and it keeps crashing when I change patches with a mouse click. Mac OSX 10.4.11

god knows what 3.0.110 has done but now i cant get the vc gui to display after ive reinstalled 3.0.109. if it doesnt work after i restart my my then this new version has really screwed things up.

Maybe you right but in 30109 i dont get crashes.

Virus TI VST plugin version 3.0.1.10 is definitely messed up. 3.0.1.06 is the best for me.

yes thankfully after doing add/remove programes to remove it then reinstalling 3.0.109 i can get thew gui to display again. i would advise everyone to avoid this update unless youve got major problems with the previous ones.

Strange you are all having issues. In Cubase 4.5.2 it is working just fine. Been using it off and on all day.

Same here....i use flstudio on my laptop and virus snow connected to it.... For me it works even better than 3.0.1.06. ...but if there comes something up i'll let u know, Happy easter

I Use Cubase SX3, XPsp3 with Ti Desktop and the VC plugin is working without problems.
I still do have the problem that the Virus Crashes when selecting sounds during play, like all the other 3.0 beta versions. I never had that with all the prvious versions (since 2.02)

but only with 3.0.1.10 i had major problem :(

Works fine for me. I did get the USB conflict thing for the first time, but as Marc said it was a problem that was there before and is now reporting it. Switched the TI to the other USB port and the message went away.

No problems to report so far.

well there s a lot of updates lately , this one was fine for me , i m using live 8 running on windwos server 2008.

only the first beta 3 os was buggy here, stuck sound n no vc but since all is fine now :p

When switching sounds during play, I often get a "synchronisation is lost" error. When I stop the sequenser, sometimes the error is solved then, but once in 3 or 4 times average, I do this, There is a very hard sound/noize comming out of the virus, and it is completly dead. It responds to nothing anymore and I have to rebooot the virus

The Virus TI Snow VST plugin works, but Virus TI VST not.

I just updated to 3.0.1.10 and Live 8.0.1 and VC opens no problem. I have a previous OS installed and just updated to 3.0.1.10 straight away.

This is happenning to me too since i got the access virus ti 2 , it happened in the VC in logic pro and also using it normaly just connected whit audio cables, i´m going to return it since i just bougth it a month ago and i think this is a malfunction unit...

Any other Ableton users here wanna share their experiences?


Hmmm...I'll try to investigate this

i've just tried to open VC 3.0.1.10 in live 8.0.1, live 7.0.15, logic 8.0.2, logic 7.2.3, cubase 5.0.1 and cubase 4.5.1 (all on a MacPro 8 Core 2008). every single time it opened fine, displayed the GUI and played back the corresponding tutorial song.

if you discover crashes, please contact support and send a crash log. also, please post more details about your system. in general, post more details on your findings please.

Well,all problems seem to start when i have TI pluged and launch Live...
But if i first launch Live and then plug the TI all things look good
Same thing both on my PC & Mac...
The only differnce is that on PC if i try to open a recent project the VC
crashes Live on load

An audio drivers conflict maybe?

Me too. VC crashes Live 8.0.1. VCC can't "Talk to Virus...", it recognizes my TI but crashes without any notice when I press O.K. to start communication.
Strange too: I can use VC 3.0.1.10 in Live if my TI has OS 3.0.1.09 but crashes with OS 3.0.1.10:confused:

Now I went back to OS 3.0.1.09 where my world is O.K.(Using VC 3.0.1.10):)

In my opinion this bugfix is rather a bug than an improvement:
Change Log 3.0.1.10 -VC / VCC: detection of USB hub device conflicts (added)

If only VC causes problems I would search the failure by myself... But VC and VCC... Access Music, it is your turn!

Just installed on a new I7 2.6ghz Quad with 6 gigs of ram in win xp (would have gone vista 64, but you know. Wasting memory...)

So far everything is good. Though every now and then, I hear this loud Shreek come out of the TI. and it kind of resets, all my patches are all screwed up volume wise, and everything is outa sync. Reloading the project in live seems to solve the probelm.

It only happens every so often, and I have not been able to find it's cause or replicate.

Marc, where exactly do you want us to submit bug reports? There's just a general support section on the access site. Nothing specific to Virus problems.
