Dead Keys on My Virus KB

So I eventually acquired my Virus form ebay. But, the low C sustains forever and the c# next to it is totally dead.

Waiting on a response form the seller.

Is this likely to be circuitry or can it be fixed easily? (for those that have experienced this kind of thing)

I dont mind a partial refund if its repairable as I got a fairly good deal.

I assume the key is released? Could be a contact problem in the keyboard mechanics. Open up the keyboard section and clean the mechanics. This is wise to do on regular basis, especially if the synth is in dusty conditions. Also check if there is any physical damage on the low-end keys.

I bet it will start to work just fine after the clean up. There is just some grit below the rubber mat that interferes* with the contacts.

*First I thought to write "fucks up", but I decided to stay classy

Thanks for info.

I have no idea how to do it although I will have a go. If it doesnt work I shall be seeking a big discount from the seller.

Just open the screws in the bottom. It's not rocket science. Just remember that if it does not seem to open do not use force.
