I went slaughtering sheep yesterday
 

It was dramatic.

Blood and shit everywhere. Man. It was a sight.

I learnt how to skin a sheep and how not to slit its stomach - smelly. I fucked up 1st time and everyone in the slaughterhouse laughed at me. Meh. After 3 sheep I could fucking do it. Slit throats, skin'em and put em in the truck.

Unfortunately I'd be a hypocrite if I said I didn't agree with slaughter as I eat meat.

Any of you guys ever had a massive sneeze attack after a drinking binge? Off-topic for sure but no more than animal slaughtering. I've got this the morning after before, but never during the main show. I guess binges and animal blood are both signs of shitty economy? Philosophy at its best.

I'm good over here.. the sneezing stopped already.

My dad does. One glass of wine or a bottle of beer and he has a huge sneezing attack. Sneezes about 30-40 times. After that he's ok and can carry on enjoying a drink, lol. Happens every time.

Humans have slaughtered for food and resources for tens of thousands of years. It is a fact of life. I imagine working in a slaughterhouse desensitizes you to a degree, but is still distressing and pushes you as a mere human, particularly in the beginning. Hence the original post.

I went again yesterday. It was a sight and a smell.

This time I got a knife shoved in me hand and told to get on with it.

Thing that freaked me out most was the 10kg hooks hanging from the overhead rails. They came off really quickly if you didn't hang it right.

Phew.. That's enough for me for a while. Can do it. Thanks Ray Mears. Now back to work as an English (bloody) teacher.

No way i could slice up a sheep or lamb if i didn't have to, i'd probably cry like a big pussy! (^_^) However, i do love a bit of shank, innit! (^_^) Strangely, i prefer fish and seafood to beef and lamb, etc, though i eat more of the latter!

It seems that ForeskinHasAWank fella must have taken the post the wrong way, Just Old Vantaa updating us on his activities, eh? Not exactly him having a giggle at the poor fluffies he was carving up, now was it?
