I can't find a way to bypass the usb hub warning. the new quad core imacs have internal hubs (the hub my virus is plugged into also has the IR receiver [whatever that is] and built-in isight [which isn't being used] - so the hub is not being used by anything but my virus). Well, anyway - when I load up my virus I get the 'active hub detected' warning with Virus control and a stethoscope - and I can find a way to bypass it.

Marc I know it is not technically Access's issue, what is the future for Cubase 5 and Access Virus VST3 with sidechaining/instrument input please?
Thanks |

Still no concrete RTAS support.
Plug in loads, no sound. |

Surely since Access and Steinberg are both German companies, one can simply get together with the other for a few beers and decide on a fix ;) |
Well Seems this update is shagged on Windows 7x64.
Everytime I try installing it does and automatic rollback and fails driver install part way through. Gone back to 3.3, but then that is why they are Betas ;) Hope to see a fix in 2010 :D |
MIne installed almost perfectly in my xp32 partition. I say almost beacuse while the firmware installation progress was about 50% it stuck for a while and then went 100% immediately. After that everything was fine, even the arp I couldn't control from the VC... Anyway well done access so far

The more I think about it, this situation is ridiculous. The fact that I've owned this synth for 6 months and still have not been able to use it as intended by the company is utterly absurd.
|
Does this release seem stable?
Is anyone having stability issues in Leopard? |
doesn't look like there's anything interesting in there for 32bit xp / ableton users, correct me if I'm wrong?

snow leopard (last update)
logic 9 (last update) i did not have any trouble with my virus ti desktop and the plug in version. since i made this update, logic crashes everytime i try to open the plug in. installation went smooth thanx for any help |
Tried this one and left it too rest - wont install on W7 x64 for me :(
No big thing as 3.3.3.0 seems stable but I would like to see a reduction in the GUI lag. |
OK. everything is ok now, i think i didn't restart my computer (even if it does not ask to, always restart your mac after installation)

I have a 2009 27" iMac and I'm getting the USB root hub error message. I tried the fix linked to here: http://virus.info/forum/index.php?pa...d&threadID=725. I pasted the text into Terminal and hit enter, nothing happened, still getting the error message. What am I doing wrong? I'm a new Mac user and I've never used Terminal before. If anyone can help me get this working it would be much appreciated.

I got it working thanks to some help from Sawtooth. Cheers. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software (which didn't seem necessary initially as I had literally just installed it).
If anyone else is having trouble with their 27" imac showing the usb root hub error after trying marc's fix, try reinstalling. I clicked on the "Don't show this message" button when the warning kept popping up - I think that must be the problem. Now enjoying my new TI2 Whiteout Edition! |
If you're having the rollback issue, try not plugging in your Virus when asked to. That's what did it for me!

It shouldn't be this hard. |
im noticing A LOT of random notes, even while not playing.
for example, i leave my stuff on for an hour and i come back and the TI is playing a stuck note. this is with 3.3.4. anyone else? |
Tried different methods and unless it installs sweetly I am avoiding the headaches.
NEXT :) |
Is 3.3.4 the latest non beta version?
I've been perfectly happy living with 2.75 I've been using it in Digital Performer 5 (which I know is not supported) and Live 7 w/o any issues.
Hower, last night it was really misbehaving. I'm thinking it may be time for the update. I have no interest in a Beta version and want the most currently stable edition. Would this be 3.3.4? FWIW, 2.75 was having a temper tantrum in 'Live" too. Sounds just were not playing. Meters were bouncing in VC and in the DAW but no sound. I rebooted several times, then it started working for a while, then just started emiting random notes. Thanks, Mark |
hey MarkM13,
Try OS 3.1.0 first. It's working near perfect for me in Live 8 and Logic 8. On the Access forum quite a few people are having issues with 3.4.0. |

Seems like OS 4.0 is on the way:
http://www.access-music.de/page/rend...thesizers.html BTW i installed OS 3.3.4 by NOt connecting the TI while installation process. This way I had to update the firmware with the Virus Control Center. Everything worked fine after that. |
Is there some note volume bug in this OS, or is it just the patch I'm using? ROM-F patch 104 "Spy HS". Playing a simple manual arp pattern with the right hand and single notes with the left, the overall volume keeps jumping up and down unexpectedly.
