When can Access solve TI2's sneezing problem?

I hope Access is working hard to get a solution soon for this problem.I am hesitant to use it in live setting due to this issue probably just like everybody else who has got this problem.

Hi Marc, any date estimate?

My TI2 desktop makes sudden outburst of noise, more like a hiss with noise which I can liken to a "sneeze". When this happens, all LEDs shut down momentarily and the LCD remains lit. This happens even if it's on stand alone meaning without USB connection. I have reported this to Access support and was advised that Access is working on it.That was about 2 months ago.

your TI is crashing. there will be a new software version in a couple of days which might fix the problem (in case we're talking about the same crash).

best, marc

I hope Atomizer is also fixed.
I hope the TI doesn't want to sleep as much as me.
I hope a stand-alone GUI is implemented
Wishing for a X-mas in July

I have TI mk1 and mine "sneezes" at least once per 3-4 hour session. "Sneezing" is a great way to describe it - and glad you have the same issue!

Thank god hopefully this will make my TI usable again, err, I mean for once. :P

Friggin Sweet....I didn't think they were gonna try and fix it! I was just gonna buy a Snow to take some load off my TI Desktop and see if that helped solve some of my LIVE issues!

synthfiend 15.07.2009 03:20 AM

my TI Mk1 "sneezes" as well, just glad it has'nt happened when i have my earphones on !!

7G 15.07.2009 07:04 AM

I rolled back to 2.7.5 and everything's good...
Waiting for a more stable version to switch again to OS 3..

Cantankerous 15.07.2009 09:38 AM

Glad to hear I am not the only one with this issue and that it is being looked into.

soulidstate 15.07.2009 11:48 AM

I am glad I posted started this thread and realized that I am not alone in my plight. It's very disappointing to feel all alone for matters like this most especially that the gear ain't that cheap.

Let's hang on guys and hope that Access fulfills its duty soon.

+1 here for my Ti1 keyboard.

I think the weirdest issue my virus has, and its had this since I got it, but its never really bothered me enough, is that every other time I turn it on, it won't produce a sound, and the screen will display that its receiving sysex

the LFO lights will all run at the same rate, and then when I shut it off again, they continue running, until i turn it on again, and then it works normally

sometimes when i turn it on the second time I get a huge white noise "sneeze" for a second when it activates

still weird as hell

"Friggin sweet"? That you have a $2000 product that actually works?

imevac 17.07.2009 02:01 PM

Still "sneezing" on 3.0.4 OS. This is quite annoying - white noise + restart of Virus. Which version should I load on my TI2 to get stable hardware?

Oh man!this is very disappointing.I think I'll go back to using a Classic.Maybe the TI was intended only for home use not for live performance..Access should have stated in the manual.

WARNING:Use this instrument in live performance at your own risk......

cl516 23.07.2009 01:04 AM

i didn't think i'd post because i hadn't encountered sneezing...

...until right now. Critical recording setup, I notice changing patches suddenly is lagging...

...and then KKKKAAAAAATTTTTTCHHHHHHAAAA!

Thanks for the Sneeze 3.0.3. Guess I should upload the new beta?

(The worst part about all this, is that I'd just turned ON the TI2. Hadn't even played a note yet. WTF man.)

Phase.lu 24.07.2009 05:44 PM

I got the same prob I guess they dont even try their new software versions before they set them free for dowload.

Hi Phase,
Are you using a TI Mk1 or a TI2?Are you saying that you don't experience the sneezing problem with 2.7.5?

TI MK 1 here with 2.7.5 solid like a Rock!!!
Most stable version from Access...And i gotta admit i preffer much better
the old red/grey gui..Much more relaxed to my eyes and faster response
It would be great if we had the option to change between skins
Feel sorry about the TI2 users though...

Phase.lu 27.07.2009 09:27 AM

Hi Solid, i'm using the Ti2

absynth 27.07.2009 12:10 PM

no sneezing here, TI|2

finished 3 tracks lately without any problem really, except of the sluggish VC GUI

Hi Phase. Pls confirm. Are you able to successfully downgrade your TI2 to 2.7/5 from 3.0.4? I might try this if it works and if the TI2 doesn't sneeze in 2.7.5.Thanks

mitchiemasha 27.07.2009 08:31 PM

I think this happened to me, first time ever last nite. My ti is on for hours and it's never happened before.

It just went all fuzzy then reset its self.

Stange.

I've only just upgraded so for me it must be due to the latest upgrade.
unless I've just been out the room when it's happened.

DWJK 29.07.2009 06:20 AM

Virus TI 1 here. I experience the sneezing from time-to-time (has deafened a couple singers in vocal booth; lawsuit pending). The more frequent annoyance is the playing of random notes on literally every session I've had ever since I switched to logic. No explanation, nothing.

PS Neither of this issues happened on my TI snow. Go figure

Using the latest OS. Gonna switch to 2.7.5 and see what happens

Did you tried to reset?

If you mean holding exit when I boot, then yes. Am I missing something?

Unplug TI from power and hold down the "Arp Edit" button, located under the "Master Volume" while you plugin it back for 10 sec
That's the correct procedure..

izimizam 20.10.2009 10:28 AM

It seemed to get fixed but now i have another problem which is basicly the same but instead of it flashine and hissing, it just blasts the speakers with low frequencies and the sound goes all mangled, then it goes back to normal. Anyone else get this?
