Nice idea, buddy.
You had a link for editing the contest post. I fixed your link. |
Thank you, Sir! Oopsy on the link, good thing it wasn't to the web page control panel of XML-imbedded hyper transport modulator...
;) |
I'd like to see more hyperlinks that work.

Alright. I'd like to see more competitions, but with decent prizes. |

FFS. How about you kiss my pipi as a 1st prize, Prince?
I've just eaten Finnish sausages: http://www.rakkausrunot.fi/runoilija...9712&luokka=90 |
Well how about your potty mouth, Mr. Dirty Pants? If you continue to use such language I will have no choice but to sue you and everyone you represent. Now go wash your mouth out and say 10 Hail Mary's and go to bed.

Drank the 10 Bloody Marys. Good tip Alexei.
Steve. They've already been in someone's arse, as you can see from piccy above. |
Drinking Bloody Mary's always makes me feel better, even if I've just done something wrong!
;) Matteo, do people really eat those sausages? They seriously look like a brown submarine, kind of like the Hindenturd Zeppelin. Blech!!! So, my TV died last Friday. I had to go out and buy a 50 inch plasma set to replace it, and now I just had to cough up another $200 for a TV stand because the damn thing does not fit above my fireplace mantle like the old tele did. SHITE! I'm poor for months now! But, I have no choice, I must get all this shit done before my shoulder operation next Thursday. I've been a busy MF... |
Hmm.. just discovered they're called "groat sausages." I think they may be made with blood too. I love em.
Anyhoo. Life sucks when you have to buy a new 50" plasma tv. Which one you get? |
Well blood and a good filet mignon go together pretty damn well, why not sausages? The krauts call it "Blutwurst" don't they OVM?
Here's the TV I bought: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/602-6704075-3083849?ASIN=B000NV9IYK&AFID=Froogle&LNM=B000NV9IYK|Philips_50"_Widescreen_Plasm a_TV_50PFP5332D37&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=B000NV9IYK&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001 In my house, all setup, with the stand, and my Hi-Fi equipment (Bose Acoustimass, Baby!): ![]() Here's the underside of my DAW desk that required several pieces of scrap lumber to support it from falling over my overbuilt DAW shelf: ![]() Here's the finished product setup and ready to help me rehab after my shoulder operations: ![]() So, today I threw a bunch of dead bushes over my fence into a common area of strangleweeds/vines/kudzu/etc. so it could trun into compost. Me and my 2 neighbors really love that that little drainage area, it saves us alot of hassle and no one ever sees it unless they are stupid enough to go standing up over the corners of our backyard fences. These things were killed to make room for my wife and kids' garden (peppers, tomatoes, watermelon, and something else). Tomorrow I have to plant a small Pindo Palm tree that has been in its nursery container since I started school this past January. Then I install 2 wireless NIC cards in my home PCs to finish off the network and sit back waiting for the surgeon's work to begin. After that, two full days (Thursday and Friday) off from work and lots of pain pills along with plenty of time to harass you fellas. Muahahaaaaa... ;) |
Blutwurst it actually ain't, mate. There's summut else in there. Juho, help!
Nice pics. Does your granny know you've got her chair? And what's the "something else" in the kids' garden? Nice apostryfizzing, btw. |
that's a rockin setup Alex! How do you like your HR824s ?
|
You know, those Big Macs would sound a lot better with some Auralex MoPad Monitor Isolation Pads underneath..

Edit: By the way Alex, get a better chair. If you buy a new chair, I hope you don't pick one that is as high as your skill in music because it's pretty crappy view on the underside of your DAW desk. Eats out some of the inspiration, you know. |
It's only mid May, but I vote the above post by Mr Juho L. as POST OF THE YEAR and would like to request that admin make it a sticky.

My real nice chair is being used by Mrs. Hall, who is working her arse off on a new IT project. But, just to make you insolent fuckers happy I put my real nice mixing chair behind my DAW desk and took a picture: ![]() The underside of my desk is a picture to honestly admit that I did not consider the weight of the rig above, and had to correct it on the fly. Hopefully, if others consider such a project, they will do this first to spare themselves the grief at the back-end of the project. And hopefully they will use Bombay Mahogany stained boards with 24K gold plated screws to beautify the support struts so they will be spared the venom of your tart little mouth, which would benefit from a good washing with a bar of soap. By the way, your attempt at linking use of my dining room chair, my skill in music, and the underside of my DAW desk in some way shape or form to insult me was insufficient. You may now kiss my ass. :) The next picture won't be so nice, most likely will be my first turd after tomorrow's shoulder operation. It will probably be nasty from the anesthesia and other post-op narcotics. ----- Doc, I love the Mackie HR824's to no end. I bought them used on eBAY for $700 for the pair, the new mkIIs go for $1,200+ per pair, whcih is way out of my league. I had Behringer "Truth" 2031As for 3 years before these and would get real pissed when the port holes would blow air at me when my Virus got real bassy. The Mackies are great. Most of my DAW is Mackie now: HR824's, Mackie Control Universal, Mackie Tracktion 2, and Mackie Onyx Satellite (which I only use with my laptop now) and it's made things really easy. The MCU is plug'N'play with Tracktion 2, and it's real nice to have tactile control of the tracks in the sequencer. I'm too damn lazy to manually configure a control surface. Actually, it's my extreme case of ADHD. ;) --------- Et tu, OVM? Cheers all! I might post back before the surgery tomorrow, maybe not. Have a good one! -Alex |
I liked the piccy you emailed me earlier:
![]() Good luck with the surgery on your shoulder, btw matey. |
WTF? Your Photoshop skills and sense of humor have lost me once again. Thanks for the well wishes though! I just planted a small palm tree in my back yard as I won't be able to for a few months. Tonight, all my work is done, it's time for a few Mojitos!
:) ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mojito |
Hey OVM, check the left table on the original picture. The green box there seems to be a kleenex box! No need for photoshopping. We are dealing with a serious wanker here!
Alex, you will perish under this insult assault. |
<hides head in shame at such myopia..>
|
Juho and OVM, what filthy minds you have. Of course there is a box of tissues in the den, it's also the guest room, and North Florida happens to be the allergy (pollen, as in trees) of the world. I suppose the rubber fists and mechanical hamsters laying around your PCs are not an issue then?
:) Peace out, bitches! -Alex |
Damn. The North Florida pollen. Stupid of me really. Apologies.
How's the shoulder, btw? Didn't you have a shoulder op just a couple of years ago? |

You Yankee hating bastards...
;) I just got homefrom my operation. All went well, the Doctor told my wife that the damage was more sever than the MRI indicated, which explains the pain I've been experiencing for some time now. I have to wear an "immobilizer" for four weeks: THAT IS AN ETERNITY FOR ME! The pain meds are kicking in though, typing is not so easy right now. Thanks for checking on me, fellas! Your Yankee friend, -Alex |
alex, glad your surgery was a success. Was it torn cartilage?
|
Yes indeed, Doc Jones, it was a labrum tear, specifically a SLAP tear.
http://orthopedics.about.com/od/shou...w/a/labrum.htm http://orthopedics.about.com/cs/gene...der/a/slap.htm Looks I'll be doing a lot more cardio this summer than I thought, because this is going to take a month or two to feel even close to normal from what I can tell. Oh well, it could be alot worse so I'm not going to bitch. ;) |
Any pics of the immobilizer, mate? What drugs you get?
