TI Snow
|
Looks pretty damn cool... Wonder how much it will be?
|
My PØLAR got a son and its name is Snow! :D
|
Only caught glimpse of it late last night (about 3am here, i'm a midnight owl!) so couldn't look more into the specifics (hence the rushed front page at that time), but it looks sexy as heck! Great name, too.

looking for ....
hi this bobby
I wana ask u how I can find the psychedelic trance sound set for my ti .??? thank u for replay me ... my email _ (dzr_project@yahoo.com) |
looks like back to saving for a TI desktop for me:
$1350 is too high for half the DSP engine, and only 4 parts. rsp http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNAM...now-Synth.html |

Hatembr! Haven't seen that name for a while. :) Hope you're doing alright!
As for pricing, in the UK here Digital Village have got it up for pre-orders @ £829, which is £370 less than the £1199 desktop TI. Supposed shipping: March. I don't think a TI Mk2 will be around for quite some time now (grrr), given that Access released a 2008 catalogue along with the Snow, showcasing all the TI range. Actually that might be a good thing, no rushed release like they did with the original TI. Mk2 should be quality. :) |
Glad to see access didn't go and release a new beast of a synth. Just got the Ti a couple of months a go and I'd hate to have to get a new one any time soon. :D
However, this "toy" costs almost as much as a second hand Ti.. |
yeah, $1250us is definitely a little too expensive for this. I was expecting it to be in the $799 to $899 range.

Streaming video from SonicState @ Namm.
http://www.sonicstate.com/news/shownews.cfm?newsid=5967 Direct video link: [Virus TI Snow - 25.6mb WMV] Still streaming it, but the Snow appears larger than I initially thought it was! Regards the price, I feel exactly the same. However, looking at it from another angle, I think the Snow will really come to its own and stand its ground when a TI mk2 arrives, and the Snow drops in price a touch. It'll be almost like a TI "classic", but portable, as well as being ideal for the soft-synth generation. A very neat commercial move (future investment) on Access' behalf, I think. (And neatly clears the way for an Mk2. :D ) |

Is there any official statement on that or is it just wishfull thinking? Personally, I doubt that any kind of Ti successor (IF it's planned) will be coming out any time soon. |
Well, seeing as Access have released a glossy 2008 catalogue/brochure showcasing the TI, TI kb, Polar and Snow, and given that they will add the Atomizer and upgrade the TI OS to v2.7, which will appeal to a whole new raft of buyers, that will keep them going for a while methinks. It'll probably be another year now until an Mk2 arrives. (Drat!)
But, really, I have to commend Access. Given that they messed up the initial launch of the TI, they've really taken the TI to a whole new level for their customers. |

Or if you are looking for patches to buy, then the Vengeance sets are pretty good: http://www.vengeance-sound.de/eng/in...dexSounds.html or probably Sounds of Revolution: http://www.sounds-of-revolution.com/sounds_e.html or similar. |
bobby, you can download quite a few trance oriented soundsets off of Access's site - http://www.access-music.de/support.php4
|
heh, timo was quicker on the draw ;)

999$ would have been decent but 1500$ is too much IMO.
|
novamusik offers a pre-order special. $1050 for a TI snow
|
Digital Village (distributor for UK) have dropped their price £59 from £829 to £769.99. Which is just above half price of a TI KC and Polar, and £429 off of a desktop.

OS v2.7 beta #1 released for TI Snow.
http://www.access-music.de/downloads.php4?category=18 Not sure if this can also be used on standard TIs. |
not anymore ...
that was taken down quick! |
Seems they've not updated it onto the main portal yet.
Go here: http://www.access-music.de/news.php4#news120 Then click "Download OS 2.5.1 now" ...and it takes you to the latest OS (v2.7) page. Access' site is always so tricky to hotlink! |
looks quite good to be honest... who is going to be brave enough to try it on their Ti though :)

ok after a patchy install, it now works... not really done much testing , just fiddled with atomizer - which is quite fun in a "tune destroying" way.
nice one access ! :) |
Does that mean the snow beta drivers will work on the polar/desktop/keyboard?
|
TI/Snow OS v2.7 public beta #3 released on Access' site.
