Plans for Christmas???
 

Hello Filter-Heads,

Anyone got plans for Christmas? (Or Hannukah, or Kwanzaa, or Festivus, or any other year-end holiday you might be celebrating...)

My Dad is coming to visit this Friday through next Monday.

My Mummy-in_Law is visiting for 2 weeks from Dec. 23 - Jan. 7, which is nice. She's funny as hell and she is bringing her boyfriend who is a troublemaker all his own.

Where the hell is Old Vantaa Man? Has he gotten punched out or arrested again? He's probably scouting out cute foregin women. What classifies as foregin in Vantaa anyway??

I better get more than a tie and some socks this year...

Going to Iowa of all places to spend it with my in-laws. Good times!

First Christmas with the kid so will do what every good parent should do. Go to the in-laws and say here you watch him whilst I get drunk ;)

Just put the decorations up today! Didn't want to do it too early.

Christmas for the family is at our house this year, so no doubt I'll be on veg-picking and pot washing duty. My dad has an allotment, so all the produce will be from there. The sprouts are like fuckin golf-balls this year, so I guess there'll be a cacophony of bagpipes afterwards.

Looking forward to it, though. Got all my presents for people sorted out already. Can't quite work it out, usually it's a 24th December major panic attack assault on the high-street/shopping-centres! :)

Getting drunk as piss now. Red wine for dinner (lots) and now on to some Grand Marinier that my Dad left here. I'm getting pissed up tonight!!!

Oh, and I impulsively ordered me a new desktop PC for a DAW. AMD Turion Dual Core 3000 GHz, 3 GB RAM, 320 GB-7200 RPM SATA drive (system), 500 GB-7200 RPM SATA drive (data), dual layer DVD writer, wireless NIC, WnXPHomeSP2, etc. Blah Blah...

Now I just need to quit my job and school and have some time to use it.

Had to go through bloody murder to find all the Windows XP drivers for that new system of mine. Dell's hands are tied by MS to only sell Vista on new machines, and they are not making the drivers for XP available for these systems either. I found everything online though. God bless hardware experts who are willing to share their knowledge!!!
