Scion Automobiles...

I just bought a 2007 Scion tC!

Yahoo!

It's a fun little car to drive, only 160 HP, but fun, and it has a nice stereo.

Good on gas, easy on the wallet!

Anyone else here drive a Scion?

Drammy 29.11.2006 11:31 AM

I've never heard of them - is there a European name for it?

AlexHall74 29.11.2006 11:58 AM

Hmmm...I don't know.

Scion is a Toyota brand.

Toyota targeted the 18-25 year old market with Scion and flopped! Now, older folks like me are buying them mostly. I guess its my "mid-youth crisis" car as I can't afford a Corvette yet for a full scale "mid-life crisis."

Toyota quit making the Celica and moved the frame and power train over to Scion for a slight makeover.

The other to Scion brands are the XB (a box, literally) and the XA (a smaller hatchback).

My big ass fits, but could use a tad more room.

The LOW payments offer a different sort of comfort though. ;)

Correction, Jon, there are FEW things like <as good as> driving a new car off the lot.

Timo 29.11.2006 11:18 PM

Very sleek. :)

Hollowcell 29.11.2006 11:53 PM

Yeah Toyota just were on the news here as they had to do a mass recall. They decided to not worry about the cars already in the states though, as in the US safety standards and insurance payouts are lower.

Enjoy!

Hold on, that may have been Mistubishi.... :D

Ah - Toyota.

I'm not as up on my cars as I used to be - sure looks nice though!

AlexHall74 30.11.2006 09:46 AM

I'll be sure to post pictures when I wreck it the first time.

Jase, you idiot, I used my time machine to go into the future and buy a 2007 car while the rest of the world is still in 2006.

Come on now, lad, get with the program.

matsa 01.12.2006 10:30 AM

That looks ace! Congrats, and all that.
Look forward to borrowing it when I come over mate. What's the mileage? Don't fart in it too much.

3o3 01.12.2006 12:50 PM

We are looking at a new car, we will probably go for an SAAB or Volvo again since they are the cheapest cars around here in Sweden.

But still, damn nice car there mate

Gopal 01.12.2006 08:19 PM

Hey 303 get one of those sweet Volvos with the Factory fitted Dynaudio stereo 8)

3o3 01.12.2006 11:22 PM

Gopal: We had our eyes on a Volvo V70 or maybe an newer SXX-modell. It all depends on what Ausa likes to drive acctually. Volvo's are pretty sweet when they lost their 80ies boxdesign.

You got that wrong 303! They were the best when they were the 80's box shape. :D

DS will back me up on that!

Standard policy, it's insured, not a problem, as long as you have an international fuhrerschein. ;) You'll love it; it has b lue neon light bars in the footwells, blue LEDs in the cup holders, the stereo faceplate can be changed to 15 different colors (one of the settings "mixes" between all of them randomly!), and a subwoofer! Yee-Hah! When my buddy, Jack, visited a few years ago he borrowed my car, disappeared for 2 days with my friends, and my car got towed. I bought him a T-shirt from the towing company as a going away present.

And I don't mean Heather.

Obviously! Heather is small, and she is not a thing, she is a Minx.

Yes, SHE has the big other thing, the Toyota Sienna, an awesome mini-van!
