Guilford?! I spent one month there to study English there in 1998! Quite a nice city!
I live in Gorizia, Italy... not to much zoom with google though.

techno_7 24.06.2006 08:18 AM

Great idea DS,

Here is my wee village near Leeds, UK.

You can see Leeds Bradford airport to the East and the (now closed) largest mental institute in the UK, High Royds, just a few 100 yards to the South.

You can see my street if you type my postcode B632DW into the fly to area.

Drammy you live fairly near to my relatives in Rishworth.

(run by google earth)

You don't need to put the place marker on your house. - I've put mine on the name of my village instead, for instance.

techno_7 25.06.2006 10:12 PM

Coool :D

sitting in a wardrobe at the moment is a DIGI002, Korg Trinity plus, novation a-station, mb-33, warp 9 filter and an alesis deq 230, oh and there are some alesis effects units in the bag in the wardrobe. You wouldn't believe how unhappy it makes me that these are in the wardrobe :(

also, to make your life really easy there is a pair of Alesis Monitor 2 speakers in the garage. The RA-300 amp is in the living room and I use that so please leave it alone :) The reast I can at least claim insurance on.

Timo 25.06.2006 10:44 PM

I've zoomed out a bit so we can see everybody, and also switched to a hybrid map + satellite view. :) For the bandwidth conscious (ie. 56k dialup), pick the "Map" button in the display window, and you'll be able to see the place names and road networks instead.

Ive not looked at your map postings, but I guess by now there is a good list of precisely which houses in various regions are worth doing over?

I was going to post mine until this dark thought occured to me...

[Edit - I see grs allready noticed this as well - LOL]

Oh yeh - I actually found my car on google earth :)

Timo 25.06.2006 11:49 PM

no shit, sherlock!

I stuck my marker on the name tag of my village/town.

yeah, i'd worry about this, except I doubt that a random chch person who would be dishonest enough to do that would be reading this board.

Countdown to me posting a thread complaining about some cunt stealing all my gear from my wardrobe in 3...

jasedee 26.06.2006 02:10 AM

Well, I just downloaded Google Earth for mac....pretty damn cool! Im still a n00b so I dont know how to save those .kzm files or whatever. Here's a pic of the neighbourhood:

Collaroy, Sydney, NSW (Northern Beaches, around 35min drive to city)

Hollowcell 26.06.2006 02:24 AM

This was the first time I've tried it as well. Really cool thing!

My town here in Japan doesn't have the higer rez images though!
But the nearest big city does.

Merlot 26.06.2006 05:10 AM

Indeed! Some of the best surfing beaches in Sydney all within 10 minutes of where I live...

I dont surf though, too much of a chicken shit. I used to be a strong swimmer, but these days Im really unfit. I would get hammered out there! Strong rips sometimes too...

You'd be more than welcome to chill at my place if you ever did make it to these parts...
