lol, rick snoman. Wasn't he the guy that plagiarised umpteen SoundOnSound articles for Future Music and got royally sued, and then was promptly drop-kicked from his FM placement.

Timo 11.04.2006 09:25 PM

aimed at a begginer+ med.......I found some useful eq/programming stuff since I am realy more of a physical player than a programmer. I can create rich electronic and groovey musical/vibe/space........But I'm still rather "white" when it come to mixing/mastering........

Frankly, it's fun to read a fucking book every once in a while!

Excuse me, some of us are British!

Enjoy your book, but accept there are trained musicians on here who think dance music is just the first step in electronic music.

Back in 82 when I got my first synths, what came out on the way to a songs production, was basically simplistic dance music.

For good training, take a classic song, and produce an electronic version, which does the song justice and keeps it's soul.

Then do the dance music and you'll amaze yourself.

Hey great advice......
I have a funny background, I was a "trained" guitar player/musician for 15 years before I discovered "DANCE MUSIC".........

I agree, having been an exlucisive Reason/Digital performer (http://www.motu.com)/Powercore user for over 4 years, I am adding Live 5 to my sequencer/s list.
After taking a class here in San Francisco at a local music store, I found it (csi master series)better $$$ money spent........

And you can always play back anytime as a reference...Or just play the videos over and over again and again untill you get the drift of things.
