sounds like a mixture of pwm and saw run thru a 4pole lowpass filter and then thru a bit reduction device\plugin.

It's the Reese bassline again isn't it?

The track it first appeared on is called Just Another Chance by Reese, a Detroit Techno classic, released in 1988.

It was done on a Roland Juno Alpha 1 and there are loads of websites dedicated to it as it is a very popular sound.

It's a bog standard Juno bass. The Juno 106 makes these without even sweating. It just so happens I have an immaculate condition one for sale for ?250.

Can I download a patch or something like this sound, and then use it on my Virus TI?
It will be nice if anyone post a link.

If someone will make this sound for me, so I can put it into my Virus, I will give you a 30euro.

you know that is not necessarily a bad idea. There are some very talented tweakers on this board, who could stand to make some money designing "made to order sounds". Of course the obvious question is what everyone thinks is the proper price break for this kind of work? ie, does the price go up if arp work is included or a lot of modulation etc.?

That sound would be very easy on any virus (or other synth)

Do you want it reacting to velocity. If so how etc.. Midi lfo etc... .. I think in that mix its compressed witht he kick drum as a side chain, I think.

Stuff like this is normally charged by the hour...

Last time I was doing commercial production work, I was charging about $250/hr (including studio/edit suite hire) - and that was about 10 years ago.

I cant remember what the sound designers we used to work with charged, I do remember thinking shit they are as bad as us :)

Frecjoha - you would be much better having a look on the reFX website paying particular attention to the Vanguard synth. You can download a demo from the link below. A much better way to spend your cash.

http://www.refx.net/pro_Vanguard.htm

The Vanguard replaced their previous JunoX2 synth which was very, very good at reproducing the entire Juno range - and much more. It would not take you very long to reproduce the bass sound that you want on this software - which comes very highly recommended.

Have this sound I search any name?
It always difficult to explain this sound and it will be much easier if I have a name.
