Are you satisfied with your current TI system?
To get a little overview of the satisfaction of TI owners, I considered setting up a little poll
|
Great idea this should get to the reality
|
Voted no2 as its working pretty much pukka now with 1.05. The only real bug I have is the missing/skipped notes when playing 2 sounds together which is a REAL pain in the arse so I hope they fix this soon.

Ditto to what passionclub said. This should the perspective a little closer to reality. I voted No I aint. I slept on it and feel a little better about the whole thing today. I was just kinda irked last night because I had just spent oodles of money building a setup around the thing, but it's not the end of the world. Hell I don't mind being a beta tester and I shouldn't blame Access as a whole for the problems.

I was looking for the "Hell Yeah!!" selection.
|
I was looking for the 'I cant afford it' button....

I was looking for the "Didn`t get it yet, desperately waiting by the door" button... :(
Damn it!! Best, midi. |
Just finished my virus b patch transfers, that old baby is going in the cupboard for a while.

Well, it seems so far that most people are generally happy with their TI. Perhaps, the situation from afar seems so drastic because of the TI not being fully functionally after a year delay and maybe a mixture of a bad batch going out. This seems to the case for me anyways. But I got it all worked out with GC now. I'm able to hold on to my unit until a new one comes in and then I can just swap it out. I do think Access should create their own 'official' site though instead of using this as a de facto source for communications with us beta testers. I think things will eventually get worked out...it is software in a box after all for most part. So unless it's some hardware component, such as the chipsets or some other component, then it can and will most definitely be worked out. Thanks to Ben and Marc for doing what they can right now.

cheers blay |
really? I love it all hehe..cheers to access!! they need a little hand for a great machine...guys we have to be positive for better support..

a few little issues, but working great here . . . and it's only going to get better!!
|
I had to fix a bug myself: there's no "euphorical" in English, only "euphoric" ;-)

Things aren't looking too good so far from this random sampling. I could be wrong, but when half of the people polled aren't satisfied with it, a lot of work still needs to be done for this product to survive. Yeah, 15 (34%) people saying that for the most part they are happy with th TI, and five (11%) people saying no problemo does looks good, but when you look at the numbers of owners that can't say they're satisfied or have already or are in the process of returning it, that's 10 people!!! 50%!!! Not good...at all. I don't know much about business in the pro audio world, but I pretty sure that when half of the people that bought your product aren't disastified with it, that's not a good sign. I fell, Access should a least be getting a 70% satisfaction rating by now. I really hope they make it with this thing, because if they don't, no more Access, at least IMHO. Let's just wait another month and see how the poll continues. It started off strong, but it's either stagnated or in the process of going down hill. Who knows? I know they're a small company, but why don't they just release a version without the TI feature and maybe it might be a little more stable and usuable, and those that want to swith out should be accomodated.

this poll is rubish though...
you cant include people that dont own one yet.. |

"I don't own a TI yet - I'm waiting till the major bugs are fixed" and if you don't own one and don't wanna get one, 1. don't vote and 2. you weren't here in this forum... btw. I've been to the central city to have an ear at the TI, and what should I say, it didn't blow me away. The oscillators somehow sound thin and you only get a phat sound with lots of unison... The filters are great, so are most of the effects! Compared to the TI, a nord lead is a toy. Further, I had a look at the andromeda, of which you really hear that's analog... I'll have to have a closer look at it, also compare it with z3ta+ which should be in a compearable category to the TI (has also kinda hypersaw...) |
what i meant was..
you cant acertain(without some simple math)the % of owners that are satisified or not. and guyur was looking at those percentages. the poll if fine. |
Anyone could get 10 of their friends and blow the credibility of this data out the window. Access may have even considered this. Can anyone say 'damage control'?

ohh ya got to take my vote out of "no im not" cause now i am. 8) |
Grs, when I did my calculations I excluded the people who are waiting if you noticed. But I did actually do the calculations wrong. There has now been 44 votes so, out of which 31 are by people who own or did own a TI. I only included those numbers. 20 are either satisfied are completey happy and 11 people aren't satisfied, plan to return their TI, or already have. So I guess in reality, excluding who don't own or have never owned a TI, the ratio is 63% to 37% in favor of the TI, which still isn't too hot considering this isn't about sounds, but about functionality. Overall, what this poll means so far is that if you buy a TI there's a greater than 1 in 3 chance you won't be happy with it because of bugs whether in the TI itself or compatibility issues. Also, 37% aren't even comfortable enought to even attempt to buy it. None of these numbers are too hot in my book. If you did the same poll for the KC, or even for Romplers like MotifES, or Roland Fantom, I doubt you would get anywhere near those numbers. Anyways, we'll see where this poll goes.

later, you can do another poll at let's say OS 1.07 and compare 'em |
comparable to z3ta? thats funny. I own z3ta. little far fetched.
