Has anyone in the US received their TI yet?

I3 is in the US and got his desktop on Monday I believe.

I'm from Canada and I've been told yesterday(NovaMusik) that my Polar will ship using UPS either today, tomorrow or monday...
Means that I'll probably get it in a week or so.

In the meantime I'm cleaning up the studio and making some room for the new centerpiece!

I just got a call from Sweetwater in Indiana USA. My guy there said they shipped 3 yesterday to customers..

I just got the TI desktop :D , But the biggest problem is to sneak the thing in to the house. I wait till everybody sleeps :lol:

arghhh! I just got off the phone with nova. Apparently because I had placed a preorder in Nov 04 (when the price was $300.00 less than what it is now), I didn't qualify for overnight shipping. Instead they shipped it ground! :cry: Had I known, I would have gladly paid to ship it expedite.
I just tracked it and it won't be here until Wednesday - Oh the horror!

Hey Doc...you really would have paid 300$ more only to get it a few days earlier?

You must really look forward to it :D
I have no tracking number yet...and since I got it for 300$ as well, I guess I'm going to wait even longer than you ;)

Ohhh YES!!! I just picked my TI desktop up from Gutar Center here in Portland OR. Im at work for now, but I did bring some Sony 7506 headphones with me to try it out while the boss isnt looking... And let me tell you it sounds great... Now if only I had brought a midi controller as well. I could hear more than just "C3"

I got tracking info from Novamusik as well. I also thought that the free next day shipping applied to us. Looks like I won't be getting the TI until the 12th of this month, as that was the scheduled delivery time listed on the email. Oh well, at least we get a free gift of our choice, or at least I HOPE we do as that's what they mentioned on the phone. I got the V-station.

madstation, you may be right, I'm starting to get pretty delirious since I am without any virus at the moment (sold my virus c on ebay just a little too early)! The studio seems so empty without a virus in there :)
Reishen, I asked for the v-station as well. It actually looks like a pretty neat little piece of software. Of course, since it is going to arrive at the same time as the TI, I probably won't be touching it for a month or so :wink:

Here in Seattle from GC mine just showed up! 10 long months...Worth it?
Every minute so far.

Its one of the best soft synths IMO. it will be great for background sounds.

yea the v-station has a very "hardware sound"

I got the vstation as well and got a tracking from UPS saying Oct 12.

Can't wait!

hey doc jones,

what sequencer program are you using.

cubase sx3? or what, and write abit about it here, adn are there any problems.

using sx 3 (and loving it). Initial thoughts on my first 15 minutes with the TI - absolutely outstanding. I got a little groove playing in the background as I write this just messing around with the first patch I tuned in - man it's nice. No problems yet - got the audio streaming through usb. I am going to go through the manual soon and bring myself up to speed before I really start banging away at this beast. I will hopefully post some demo tracks at the end of the week.

yeah, ok, now I am starting to experience problems - midex 8 blows up everytime I launch the virus control software. Reboot - all of my midi devices work like they are supposed to - launch virus control - midex doesn't work anymore. Also, issues where if I hit stop, the ti still keeps playing etc. But this is with the beta software, so I will wait to see what 1.03 brings!

My TI Polar was at my door but I wasn't there to pick it up so UPS is coming back today(they said from 10:30 to 2, that means that anywhere from NOW till 3:30 I wil get the Virus!!!!)

I can't wait...Will post a detailed review + soundclips.

Just got mine today, havent had time to test it yet though I will tonight :D That said, Doc and Mad, did you guys get your free gift? (ie vstation) I didn't get mine...

yeah, the v-station software was taped to the outside of the shipping box.

yeah, looks like I didn't get it. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow. Was the V-station bundled in a retail box, or was it just the CD?

just the cd inside the vstation getting started guide. Definitely give nova a call tomorrow - I am fairly certain they will take care of you.

I got the Vstation as well even tho I havent installed it yet. Too busy with TI :)

glad to hear that - nova really is a good outfit. But just like madstation said, I haven't even had a chance to look at the vstation yet. Perhaps next month :)
