Welcome, Lukas!

If you are looking for a mixer, give us some details about your needs and budget.

How many inputs are you running into your DAW?

Are you wanting to mix down via the mixer/soundcard interface or mix down in the box?

I was looking at a Mackie 1402 VLZ and a Delta 1010 earlier this year as a mixer/soundcard solution.

Then I lost all my money and bought a Behringer UB1204 and M-Audio 2496.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard Lukas. The virus c is one powerful beast. I've had it for 1/2 a year and am still learning it!

If you're looking for cheap smaller mixers go with Behringer. I have one, i think its great. And it cost me around 3-400 $.

I don't know what 500 Euro will buy, but I would buy a used Mackie over many new boards (as long as I could try it out before buying).

They are solid and have great sonic quality, especially the mic preamps.

Keep us posted!

:)

Can we ask the Mods to censor the B word? ;)

You gotta ask yourself Lukas....Do I need a small format mixer? I have one here (Mackie 1402VLZ), and I only ever use it to monitor my stereo outs, synths etc, all of which could be done without (ie hardware monitor from inputs to MOTU 2408)

So in other words, it is just taking up space. Something like a Big Knob from Mackie probably would be more convenient
