Soundcards / ESI Juli@

Hi....

Does anybody use the ESI "Juli@" soundcard?

Is it any good? Where can I find reviews of it?

What would I obtain by switching from "Audigy" :( to for instance Juli@ (Is the DACs/ADCs so much better in other cards)??

Does anybody have other suggestions for a new card?

Kasper.

I'd go for M-audio cards. Very good and reliable plus you get a breakout box and 1/4" connectors.

one of the reason I am asking about that specific card is because I will get a good price for Juli@ bundled with Sampletank L...but I know M-Audio and are consittering those cards too :)

Hvad endte det s? med? Jeg st?r selv og overvejer det bundle med ESI Juli@ og SampleTank 2L s? jeg vil meget gerne h?re om erfaringer med kortet :)

Sorry about the "strange" language. It was a question for Psypher (who is from Denmark just like me).

It's a good habit to write in English even you're addressing your question/comment to a person that could understand your mother tongue.

Dont make me start speaking German again!!!!

My advice......Try to buy the best that you can afford. If you spend money on budget equipment, although you may save money initially, it will end up costing you more, as, it will either break, or you will realise that it doesnt meet your expectations in terms of sound quality and professionalism.

My tip........RME! They have a well regarded reputation as a good quality converter/soundcard manufacturer, and at reasonable prices too....

Also worthy of note are the MOTU Audio Interfaces.....reliable, decent quality, but a bit pricier than others.

Good luck!

I think my budget is more like M-audio Audiophile 2496 and not near Motu :?

Lick me Crock and bung another snag on da barby cobba. Skip's jumped into the creek and me shelia's on da dog'n'bone for elp!

Nothing else to add about the sound card debate, just felt like speaking Ausi again.

If you spend a budget amount, then expect to get budget results.....thats all you need to remember.

I have learnt this a couple of times.....and regret a few "budget" purchases, that now lay gathering dust at the nether regions of my rack. If I didnt buy these budget items, then perhaps the money I would have saved would buy me something I am actually going to be happy with.

I guess it all depends what you long term goal is........And what vision you have for your dream home studio.

Good luck with your decisions and purchase!
