Above & Beyond patches
Hi. Has anyone ever tried making some a&b type sounds? I've tried to make the bass, pad and lead sounds from Oceanlab - Satellite on Virus C. Here's a demo.
Click here. All synth sounds are self programmed Virus C patches. Regards, Rick |
Hey man
You dont have a brother called Andy Fletcher do you? The guy from Depeche Mode? Hehe DS |

alright come on guys this is something way to small to be fighting about...
personally with the demo...I really didnt get it, it sounded more like a song then a display of sounds...sounded good but i really dont know what you wanted me to comment on... peace Blank |
he recreated the whole original track with his own recreated sounds...
|
oh ok...well never heard the track b4 so i guess that is why there was a misunderstanding...
so richard u have any of your tracks we can here...i would rather hear your music myself...if u dont mind indulging me... peace Blank |
very nice sounds, very close to the original
|
I like it Richard! Excellent work.
I have tried myself a 1:1 copy of those basses, Above & Beyond uses, I love them... in the next soundset (for Powercore 01 Synth) |
Hi.
Yeh, I love their basslines. I made the bassline first :D . The lead patch was made one of your patches Manuel. The strings are made from the same patch as the lead funnily enough. The mix isn't as good as the original, I only did a quick mix. I'd be really interested in hearing your bassline Manuel. :) Kind Regards, Rick |
gonna download it now.. i love A&B's work. If u wanna share the patches here it would be lovely... will come back later with my comments!
cheers |
Sounds wicked mate!! :D
|
Er, like, woa!! 8O Which bits were ripped from the original, other than the vox/acapella? Did you lift the drums, too?
Sounds absolutely wicked. On A/Bing with the actual A&B remix, the only distinguishable difference that I noticed was that the A&B remix sounds slightly more dynamic (less squashed), but other than that, kickin'! :) |
Sounds great! Post the patches will you!!
