Running a TV through a Virus C
 

I haven't done this yet, I just need an extra cable, but has anyone fed the audio out on a TV into the Virus? I'm thinking of putting speech from late night programmes through the delay and phaser and recording it with my PC. Is it pretty straightforward?

No, I'd definitely use the effects and filters on the Virus to mash up all those late night ramblings you get on TV. Good for intros to songs.

Would I just plug audio cable from TV into Virus Ext in and then do you just go ahead and use the filters and effects?

No. First you'll have to calculate the energy differences between the TV and Virus. Then calculate the acceleration/time integral to get accurate distance value (remember that Archimedes' law)

In other words: Just plug it in.

Don't forget to use that arp and gating. Works great for Japanese radio. You might want to turn the TV volume up.

mmm. interesting concept there DS. but u shouldnt really handle your Virus with wet hands! im sure it says something about that in the manual. :wink:

it says never to use it with wet hands and stay away from coffe you always put on your table when you work :D i once droped the cup
lucky me there wasnt much coffe left there and it didnt get to the keyboard or the virus all tho the virus is putten on some book that way i can reach it more easly :)
