Integral studio gear: Adam P11As AKG 701s Novation SL MKII Access VIrus TI <3 RME Multiface II Emu 6400 Ultra Chandler Limited Germanium Pre (partly shown on rack) some old ART compressor (does the job) hand built and maintained 3.2 ghz quadcore, still a monster dual core 2.4 ghz Lenovo laptop Ipad 16gb (for distraction) Cubase 5.5 Kensington Trackball Herman Miller Aeron chair shitty auralex configuration, but it works with the dining room space (just moved) Just as integral: Half Life headcrab Buzz Lightyear doll |
Half life headcrab easily the most vital component of that studio.,

Finally, after many years of having no where to set my gear up on a permanent basis, I have my own little studio.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It beats the old breakfast bar in the kitchen where everything needed to be moved between meals not that you could get much on it anyway. |

originally there was only the main table shelf...then I added the upper shelf (bought @ IKEA, just selected the correct lenght shelf and added the "feets") Then bought the keyboard runners from a local DIY shop (but you can find them easily on ebay) and bought the 12U Rack from SAMSON... it fits perfectly under the table! That's all! Glad you appreciate the result! :) |
@ Nydhog - thanks for the inspiration then dude, looks like I have a project on my hands then! looks sweet tho man, everyones got such nice setups! mine looks nowhere near as nice, but Im working on it! :)

I hear what your saying about the more minimal approach. I use only a handful of VI's/samplers now...battery3 for drums, Stylus RMX for loops & the Virus, Massive & Absynth for the rest. The audio editing facilities in pro tools are so good I rarely need a traditional sampler & I pretty much just use the fx that come with PT. |
This is my place..

Nice set up, but the plastic chair doesn't look to comfortable! That would be my next studio upgrade ; )
