Because I see many "good" feedback, but most of Virus's users don't give any informations about there Virus Model.

I have a small problem with OS 3.0.1.12

DiScO 23.04.2009 04:10 PM

I thought at one point we were getting somewhere with this machine and the VC. I still see the same old problems however, terrible latency unless I use direct mode (which of course means arp pattern timings are out), stuttering upon playing back a sequenced arp pattern, like a glitch type effect, very fashionable but generally resulting in off timing again. I have turned off the BPM led's as they are a major distraction due to them being outatime, most probably because they follow the playback of the arp sound selected which drifts. The whole feel of this expensive device is throughly disappointing when using the VC. It's a damn shame. I suppose you could call this my first rant about the TImk1, as I love it so much, but something tells me it's technically flawed in order for it to exhibit this behavior consistently. It's such a relief to switch to an audio unit and feel no latency and rock solid timing. Even my powercore virus is a relief, but has it's fair share of problems.

Sorry about that, but it's been going on for too long!!!!

My previous comments were coming from a Snow. Works really great w/ the new OS so far, haven't really encountered any issues yet, albeit I've only used the new OS for maybe a good solid 3 hours total in the studio, but usually if something is wrong I encounter it well before then.

Had the same issue with all 3. betas. Clicking on the save patch button, or patch bank dropdown box in VC causes Cubase to crash and disappear.

Cubase 4.5.2
OSX 10.5.6
Ti mk 1

Have tried emptying the patch cache in the application support folder, and also tried removing all but one patch bank from the patches folder, to no avail, still crashes.

Any ideas what to try, or is this just an issue related to the beta?

I haven't had any real issues so far with .12 - using a Mac Pro, 2.66ghz intel quadcore 10.5.6, ableton live 7

let's just say it doesn't happen here but i think you are not the only one who reported this problem. in order to find out what causes it, we need to know more about the specific circumstances. in case you're not already in touch with support, you should open a ticket with them.

best, marc
