I have no sound issues, but my VSTi window does not show, or redraws the control plugin correctly. When i drag another window over it it redraws, or looks garbled. this behaviour starts when multipe plugs are loaded and starts happening after loading 3 or more instances of Tone2 Gladiator2 (at least unloading them sorted the issue

It seems that the plugin realtime updating window eats away CPU time and starts behaving weird in dense projects.

And nothing is more frustrating than working on a project coming at a stage where the control window suddenly does not work anymore.

i had this same problem.....i tried everything i could think off with no successs

ok !!!

after trouble shooting a couple of more waisted hours i have a solotion

1 uninstall virus from add and remove programs
2 delete all files on your machine related to virus
3 reboot
4 clean registry
5 disk cleanup
6 defrag
7 install virus version 1
8 install virus version 1.06
9 install virus version 1.24
10 install virus version 203
11 install virus 205
12 install virus version 2.748

works perfect now and os 3 is gone forever !!!!

it takes alot of time but it works !!!

so sit back relax and take it step by step

cheers

Seems to not work with certain hosts like 2.75 does. 3.01 Worked fine with Albeton 7 but not Samplitude 10.2 .

I get a "Communication error " warning when trying to start Virus Control in Samplitude .

Had to revert back to 2.75 .... Anyone have it working in Samplitude? Best Rich

rich, the communication error display was just not there in 2.7.5 - so take into consideration that it shows you something that indicates a problem which is present in 2.7.5 as well. have a read in the addendum to learn more about what it shows you. samplitude is not a supported host btw.

Hi Marc ,

thanks for replying  Yes , maybe its just been a fluke that VC has worked with Samplitude up intil now (which it does quite well in Live mode ) . But its a bit discouraging that this OS will not work at all now.

I know Samp and Sequoia have never been offically supported , but hopefully Samp midi Developer Frank Proposch can get some communication happening with Access and get some real support happening . After all , it is one of the premier great German D.A.W`s out there .

Its easy enough to DL the Demo and test it out with the Virus TI ..;)

Best , Rich

rich, i just re-read my post and what i wrote doesn't make sense. you're talking about a "communication error" (what you mean is probably the alert screen stating that VC cannot find the Virus TI hardware) and i was talking about a "sync error".
i'm on a mac here, so i cannot say much about samplitude but the plug-in should at least open. in any case, please get in touch with access support and file a detailed report with them. i'm sure they can help somehow.

best, marc

Hi Marc ,

Yea , i already have filled a full report with Joerg at Access as well as with Frank P. at Samp. , as im a beta tester there . He`s going to look into it next week as well as try to get some dialog happening hopefully ..

Once i cleared away all the error messages ..the VC did indeed open but communication between the VC and my desktop TI was dead , as well , no audio was passing through.

But now that im reading though much of this thread and others, i see that im not alone.. even with supported hosts. So maybe OS3 is indeed truley a "beta" still  We`ll see what happens...

I`ll hang tight with OS2.7 for now..thanks for your replies :) Cheerz , Rich
