if i could afford to buy a dual g5 desktop system iwould - but pc parts are just too cheap atm - plus ease of parts exchange/support, availability of software, and the fact that everyone i collaborate with is on pc

The winning side.. bwhahaha.

Nah, but i think PC is great for music-creation nowadays. I had a good macintosh-experience and a very bad macintosh-experience.

And when i had problems with own macintosh - there was no one around me could help me. With PC everyone knows what the fault is

Bwahahaha - no acctually not as Juho once said; "Oh so you are only half evil?" when i told him that my mother is from Finland. She came to Sweden when she was 14 years old.

But i can't speak any finnish, i can understand some words - but i listen to the most important sounds; sex, beer, toilet (hehe).

Jasedee: calling me a biatch now? *thunderstorms occur around the world when i use my powerstick* you _better_ be careful.

I'd say be carefull too Jase, because unlike normal thunderstorms, 303s so called "powerstick" shoots out an off-white/yellow substance which has a very different smell and texture to rain! 8O

Power-stickiness all over you isn't a nice thing at all (we've all seen those swedish films and it doesn't look like a fun past time now does it?).

Today ive been listening to Felix Da Housecat. Awesome stuff. The thing I like about this guy is that he uses analog synths. Jupiter 8, P5 and Mono-Poly. His music is soooo funky and ahead of its time. Really good quality electro pop. If you ever get the chance buy one of his albums (hes made 3).

Another album ive been listening to recently is undergroundbasmasters. Awesome synths, pianos and strings. Really bloody excellant.

On a serious note.......Nice one dude! Is this an upgrade from CRT? You wont believe what a difference it makes...both in space and in acoustics. having one of those big ass monitors takes up so much space, and interferes with the stereo imaging of your monitors (Speakers)

no, an addition to my g4 powerbook 800 :D
my housemate bought one too so we have 2 in the studio, along with my powerbook - arrangement on one, mixer/fx on the other - loving it.
great for my PS and flash work too - workspace on one screen, pallettes and tools on the other.

not the greatest LCD, but for $416 i cant complain (philips 170s - 3 year warranty)

jasedee 26.11.2004 01:09 PM

I have Philips ones too.....I know they are cheapies, but for Audio they are sweet! Maybe not the best for the graphics stuff you do..

Mine are only 15"

Well, even 17" flat screen is a big upgrade from the Powerbook monitor, and especially 2 of em!!!!

jasedee 26.11.2004 01:12 PM

but 2 matching 17's for the studio is fantastic - im def not complaining!
