The amp modelling is just superb. Every stomp box modelled too and in the same app. The only thing they can't do is feedback. But for a guitarist who likes recording, the current software amp sims are the equivalent of midi in the early 80's. I can't praise them enough.
Drop me a pm post, mate. |
Hawkwind suck, Ozric Tentacles are where it's at for space rock.

Is there such a thing as space rock but without the gnomes? I think some of this space rock is really psychedelic rock, only we don't want to sound Terribly Tritish and from the 60's.

Space rock or psychedelic rock? Hmm. An interesting conundrum.
A band such as the Grateful Dead could certainly at times fall into either category, though perhaps primarily belong in the latter having been exponents of dribbly little solos and crap lyrics. Hawkwind I feel come into the former category through their overall attitude of take lots of speed, turn it up, grind it out and get a whooshy noise synth on it. |

Alex, I don't think you are quite getting the whole Grateful Dead thing. Although the fact you even know who they are is amazing. Most under 60 year olds think "The Grateful Dead" is a series of movies or games :)
Don't underestimate the whooshy synth sound though, the dumbest piece of electronics only capable of one sound somehow sounded like the best sound in the world for about 10 minutes. B |

You like the Grateful Dead? I saw them in 1981 in London. They were just incredible. One of the greatest nights of my life. I was given a t-shirt even after the gig which I still have. Photos to follow. Have to agree with Alex here. A Hawkwind VST would certainly be one to downl, sorry, have. |
