I'm not sure if Access would hold back the release for some 3rd party apps (specially unreleased versions). They wouldn't want to lose the possible sales.

This is an amazing thread!!!

I haven't replied to this thread yet as I am not particularly waiting for the TI.

I have constantly seen it grow and grow - so I just wanted to congratulate you all for reaching 1000 replies, well done HC you were the 1000th!

See ya,

Whale oil beef hooked. Beaten by a whisker!

btw, I'm not getting a TI now either. I used the TI money to buy an 8-buss, and have now just bought a laptop..... So, maybe TI v2 if/when it comes around, and when it's is assured to be bug free!

blay 07.09.2005 02:38 PM

i just noticed the mod to your signature timo

cmon access whats doing?

3o3 07.09.2005 03:21 PM

Mmm. Cod!

Timo: BWUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

merlyn 08.09.2005 07:44 PM

DAMN YOU ACCESS!!!! (with the best combination of cavern reverb and delay I can find)

dries 09.09.2005 08:22 AM

i dont understand why they dont release the synth without the vst integration.

i dont give a fuck about vst integration - a virus synth with 2 dsp, 80 voices, supersaw etc. is enougn for me.

all controls could work like the C - works fine in cubase.

vvanrij 09.09.2005 09:40 AM

Just ask Ben Crosland, he knows when the TI is going to be released!

:P

steamyb 09.09.2005 11:42 AM

Yes Ben knows

"Looking about 45 days from now"

That was 27th Jan 2005

vvanrij 09.09.2005 11:45 AM

He isn't that far off I think, maybe another day or so hahahaha :D

And the "final beta testing phase" lie.

Yeah, they said that in what, May of this year? I don't understand that at all. That beta statement was in regards to the reworked TI line. So what are they doing now, redoing the reworked line?

vvanrij 09.09.2005 01:46 PM

I think they got a major issue, like with a hardware factory or something, or incompatible with older viruses, thats what I expect at least.

There might be a reason why they won't tell us, hmm, lets brainstorm about that one!

8O How can it be? I have been away for several months and still no TI. Believe me, Access will be out of business before this thing is released? It?s too bad because I really like the idea of the TI. Too bad it?s not gonna happen.

I was holding off from buying the new V-synth XT as I think the TI may be closer to what I?m looking for. But this silent clueless waiting is ridiculous. They are nine months off schedule and haven?t communicated anything to their customers.

I know what TI really stands for. Total Idiot? That?s what Access believes we are.
Should anyone from Access wish to respond to this post? DON?T BOTHER, UNLESS YOU HAVE A FIRM SHIPPING DATE INCLUDED WITH YOUR RESPONSE.

vvanrij 09.09.2005 02:51 PM

Hehe very mucho newbie :P (is your rank :D)

nah, totally agree with you, I'm just glad i didn't sell me Virus C to buy it. Plus my new novation ks-rack is keeping me off da streets :)

Youve been away for a while Derek so perhaps you havent heard the news that Access have just signed a contract with Digidesign to ship the TDM version of the indigo plugin with every protools rig sold.

Any more speculation that Access is going to broke and that they 'have' to release soon is merely preorder customers getting hot under the collar.

Just the revenue from indigo TDM and poco sales will keep them afloat for as long as they wish to stay in development phase for the TI.

I think Access would be quite smug reading all these posts about them going broke while they toast the success of their new contract with digidesign...

cheers

Yeah, and sod all the TI preorder customers

Great business. What next, TI only with Protools...

P.s Not at you Blay but Access. Sick of waiting I guess...

acid1 11.09.2005 07:25 PM

lol seriously guys.... just get a synth to tide you over till the ti comes out, best decision i ever made, when the time is right and its thoroughly tested and reviewed, i'll prolly get a sexy polar

vvanrij 11.09.2005 07:27 PM

Ya, I'm still very much enjoying me virus c

MacQ 12.09.2005 05:27 AM

It's like the 4 stages of shock ... in a continuous loop! Shock, denial, anger, acceptance, shock, denial, anger, acceptance, shock, etc.

Still, I'm just laughing at the joke of it all. I wonder if anyone got fired at Access because of this huge debacle. This is seriously unacceptable ... and wouldn't have happened if they had a ship-ready product before they announced it was pending. Oh well, lesson learned for them, I guess. I love vapourware! :P

Thats what I did - bought a Novation KS-Rack back in June when it became obvious this thing wasnt shipping anytime soon - great little synth and rediculously cheap at the moment if you can still find them.

While I got it as a stop gap - Im using it alot now and actually I think I'll still use it alot when I get my TI.

vvanrij 12.09.2005 11:36 AM

Haha same over here, we ALL LOVE THE KS-RACK

MADSTATION 12.09.2005 03:04 PM

Same here actually :)
Got a KS4 and it ROCKS(especially for the price...Got mine for 450$ USD).
Sounds much better than my jp8080 for trance...Wasnt expecting such great sounds out of that synth!

So you won't be needing that jp8080 anymore then?

vvanrij 13.09.2005 06:38 AM

Weird comparison, a 8080 and a novation!? I mean, don't you use the supersaw on the 8080?

dovwater 13.09.2005 02:03 PM

Actually I was so intrigued by the virus that I happened upon a virus Indigo redback. What a beast.

MADSTATION 13.09.2005 02:03 PM

vvanrij: Why would it be a weird comparison?
The supersaw was fun on the jp8080 but it takes so much room in a mix and is not very versatile...+ there is no onboard reverb on the JP and it's only 2 parts and 8 of polyphony...

On the ks4 I got 16 polyphony and 4 parts...And the best thing, I don't need to use all parts to make it sound good :)
jp8080 sounds aggressive when filter fully open...ks4 sounds smooth!

www.madstation.net/ks4_synth.mp3
a 1 part patch from the ks4, no external effects.
I believe it sounds good :)

Thats what steep multi-mode/multi stage filters were invented for - abusing hoover sounds ;)

vvanrij 13.09.2005 02:20 PM

Ok, your going loco now :P

You can't compare them, and you just stated that, jp8080 aggressive, novation smooth etc.

Just think of em as both good synths, don't replace one...

-VR

MADSTATION 13.09.2005 03:23 PM

Yeah you are right.
Both are very good, I've just been using the ks4 more as of lately :)

vvanrij 13.09.2005 03:44 PM

Me 2, I had the JP8080 long time, I really like the original sounds of Novation :D

technomonster 13.09.2005 04:31 PM

I also have the JP-8080.
I HAVE THE NOVATION V-STATION

all i can say is that the jp-8080 can sound really aggressive like conan the barbarian driving a heavy tank.

A JP8080 and a nord rack and I'm pretty much sorted for synths

midislut 16.09.2005 10:51 AM

the TI will be released next week !!

Khazul 16.09.2005 11:11 AM

And what gives you that idea?

vvanrij 16.09.2005 11:13 AM

Yes, please inform us?

Doc Jones 16.09.2005 11:39 AM

Midislut, April 1st has already passed . . . . :)

pseudonym 16.09.2005 11:56 AM

yes - Midislut - you can't just drop a message like that and not give any explanation - it's like saying:

"I have this really big secret, it is well exciting, and I can't tell you."

People that do it are attention seeking and manipulative.

Feed us more info!!
