Ben, do you have any real analog synths at the moment? Did you buy that SH101 new or second hand? I wonder how much they cost new in the 80's...

DS

DIGITAL SCREAMS 17.07.2005 04:21 PM

Oh and btw...does anyone here know what the hold up is with the new TI?? It would be nice to know what the 'problem' is and yes, it would be nice to have some shipping dates thrown at us...just to keep us interested :)

* Oh, and would the moderators plz take off the damn 'you can't post so soon after a post has already been made' shite off. I dont have time to waste...hehe

Nord 17.07.2005 06:18 PM

DS

cmon DS you know that the price of the sh-101 in the 80s and amongst the other ?s are more important then the TI problems and shipping. Only the important questions get answered here.

At least someones getting something right...Its looking more and more appealing.

"Nord Stage now shipping!

A historical moment was yesterday when the first fully weighted 88 keys product "Nord Stage 88" was build at the Clavia production line. The boys on the picture are the happy production team. The developers where gone fishing........

I think the access team got lost on their fishing trip!

JanFalstroe 18.07.2005 11:58 AM

So I'm gonna buy a Nord Rack 3 instead of the TI now.
If I knew that before.....

technomonster 18.07.2005 02:40 PM

well my hair has greyed above the ears,

my bald patch is increasing.

now comes the worst. i have developed the 'SHINGLES' due to panic fo not having the synth i am basing my setup around.

it bloody hurts.

where's the TI?????????

RustyCox 18.07.2005 10:32 PM

Korg, Yamaha, Roland have all had serious delays at some point in time and are all still in business. I wished I worked for Access. I own a Virus C that I bought off ebay and work at a local music store in Nashville, TN. Some of you guys are extremely paranoid and really need to get a life. The next thing you'll be posting is "Access is involved in a government conspiracy to take over the synth industry.:)

ben crosland 18.07.2005 10:37 PM

Hey Rusty, wanna buy an asbestos suit? ;)

i3 19.07.2005 05:25 AM

i'm not paranoid, and i happen to have a life - a pretty bussy one actualy.

korg, yamaha and roland are very large companies they can easily survive a major fuck up - access is very small (< 50 employees) that's critical.

i own a virus C - and the Ti is a serious option to me. actualy i have always been a satisfied access customer.

what surprises me, is that some companies build up a good quality reputation and image within several years, to destroy it within a couple of months.

all access has to do, is update their homepage with an offical statement for the delay.

it's like waiting for the train with a delay; when you know why and you know when the train comes you can live with it; when you just hear nothing and stand there just waiting for hours and nothing happens and nobody says when the train will arrive you're pretty pissed off.

the access boss should know that.

MADSTATION 19.07.2005 04:20 PM

Totally agree here :)

Asbestos suit = A flame-resistant outfit. I get that...thats commen since but what does that have to do with anything? Flaming thread? elaborate.

about the sig, eh touchy bout the special olympics I see...dint know we had a fan for the sport...got to let me know of these things...well I find alot of things offensive here but I dont complain. Ill change it just for you.

This thread is getting nasty again!

Lets try and keep a sense of humour here guys....there's no point arguing and bitching amongst ourselves, it accomplishes nothing.

Edit: I dont get the asbestos suit thing either....what up?

Just a light-hearted reference to a part of RustyCox's post which seemed a tad inflammatory to me, that's all. No big deal.

Hollowcell 20.07.2005 12:13 PM

I think now is a good time to butt in and tell you the latest word from my trust-worthy distributor......Only this time it's about Clavia!!!!

Clavia, not happy with releasing a synth that takes 5 guys to hold the thing up for a picture, decide to bring out the heaviest peice of gear since the Yamaha Electone!

The "StageCrewAndLightingRig" workstation/performance keyboard.

Sick of bringing lights to the party?
Sick of having no roadies to wipe your arse?
Sick of technolgy getting smaller?

Well this is the beast for you.

Wanna be a star? If yes, please contact Clavia about the "StageCrewAndLightingRig".

midislut 20.07.2005 07:55 PM

I HAVE A NORD !!!!

I WANT THE TI AND I WANT IT NOW....

Hey take a closer look at this link
http://www.vengeance-forum.de/thread...ab66 1&page=2

I dont speak german that well.
But at the last page, the last post. He says that a music store in Germany has the TI already.
Maybe its just a rumour, I dont know.
But I know the people on vengeance forum, and they're not the one that spread rumours around them.

(maybe its me. As I said I dont speak german that good, but I think he means that a music store in germany has the TI already. For a preview. I could be wrong)

dries 22.07.2005 05:40 PM

manuel schleiss says he has a Ti and he works on its soundset - and that the Ti is downward compatible. he thinks a sounddemo will not go online, but access hat to decide.

he can / may not say anything more - all other stuff is speculation.

another guy (paralizer) says that Howard Scarr also has a Ti and that he writes the manual.

Hollowcell 22.07.2005 10:51 PM

A word from my distributor....

The TI IS in some selected shops!

But the OS won't be out for another few months - depending on Beta testing.

However, advertising and rumor mongering will still released on a regular basis. :D

You would think people writing sounds for the TI and the person writing the manual would actually need one of the synths, or is that mean being stupid?

that's what i said in my posting dude; manuel and howard both have a Ti.

jasedee 23.07.2005 08:04 AM

I think what Ten was trying to say Dries, is that you were stating the obvious.....

Dont mind him though, he is having severe Ti withdrawls, and the sarcasm is a side effect of going cold turkey ;)

I have a friend that can get some organic herbs, apparently they help with the Ti withdrawls

ten 23.07.2005 03:18 PM

Hey, someones gotta be the anti-christ ;)

Some organic herbs would be great.....some synthetic ones would be great to :)

my apologies if I offended anyone, I was just trying to lighten up the general gloom and doom that seems to be overhanging this forum. (rumours running rampant) hence the smiley face on the original post! :)

No need for apologies Rusty.

Now back to the Rumors!

My distributor has mentioned the TI will be released somewhere in between soonish and laterish. Pretty soon those exact words will appear on the Access web site he tells me.

yeah hear ya on that

Keith Phillips 24.07.2005 04:26 AM

Access hasn't made any sort of dates for the retailers I take it? Zzounds has 7/30/2005 listed but I have no idea if its been listed that way for a while...

http://www.zzounds.com/item--ACCVIRUSTIKB

Kind of new to the Virus TI "lateness" phenomenon. lol When I first hit this forum I thought they keyboard was already out.

Oh, and hello. :) Didn't stop by the new user board after registering.

Keith Phillips 24.07.2005 04:27 AM

Oh the baby picture is gone. :) That was very disturbing to say the least.

Timo 24.07.2005 12:31 PM

Hey Im waiting on a Virus!

Yeah I orderd a Virus TI Desktop. Im pretty excited to get it. Its paid for and I have been waiting for months. I heard there was a software problem with it and thats why production has been held up. Anyone know about this?

Nord 27.07.2005 06:43 AM

Guys.
Its pretty damn close now!!!

I talked with a friend the other day that import synths here to Sweden.
Every time I asked him about the relase of TI, he did not know. He didnt have any release date.

But last night he said that he got it confirmed that the release will be in late august. He did not know why the synth was delayed though.
But he said that its pretty damn close now!
The only thing he said about the delay, which he also got confirmed: It was the OS the caused the delay (but we already knew about this)
It crashed from time to time, and they didnt know why.
And it didnt work totally like a vst plugin. The problem was when you saved a song with presets, and when you loaded the song, you had to change the presets again.
But this should be fixed now.

I hope this info is correct, and belive me. My friend is not one of those who just say things thats not true/rumours.

:P
