awsome studios !!!
more porn please :p |
I agree!
Some great studios in these pictures.. i really enjoy these threads, not so much because i lust after gear. More so because i enjoy seeing how everyone has their workspace setup. Helps me improve mine, very inspirational Saying that though. Looking at these pictures has made me remember how much i still want to get a Waldorf Microwave XT |
Setup as of 9 months ago
![]() Nothing much has changed apart from this lot and some bits being moved slightly Rest of studio here |

Yes. The Blofeld is very nice and gives you almost all of waldorf's digital synthesis but somehow I still prefer the sound of XT. It has a more powerful, "older" sound.

Fantastic control rooms F5D and Khazul! Darn nice bits of gear in there. :D
Like the lighting Khazul, the RGB colour wash is new, where's that coming from? Will take a pic of my set up soon. Quote:
I used to like the slightly overdriven 'power' of my Trinity's Moss in certain circumstances, and wondered why the Virus lacked that certain je ne sais quois when replicating the patches on there, and I eventually found I was actually (digitally) clipping the Moss slightly inside the synth - except it was later masked by the internal processing effects further on in the chain - but it was that process that gave it the perceived oomph in that case. I then started using the digital clipping in the saturation stage on the Virus for a similar effect. Who'd have thought it, digital clipping being sought after! |

In all there are 4 RGB spot/washes, 2 lasers, 2 moving heads, 2 scanners, 2 8 way pixel boxes and a smoke machine/hazer all under dmx control from that little controller or from the computer via lighting software im writing. Oh there a 30cm disco ball as well :) |

Got a couple of lights and a smoke machine too, but no scanner fancyness - a couple of moonflowers (NJD Blitzers, although my mate has nicked one of them, along with the smoke machine, b*stard) and a prism based moonflower (Abstract Hypermoon). Haven't used them for years though. I used to work at NJD, although they've fallen by the wayside (as have most other companies) due to the influx of Chinese imports. |

Awesome. Mirrorballs are great, aren't they. I used to sit a moonflower or two in front of a ball and it'd immerse the whole room 360º with twisting/turning coloured light beams. Amazing in smoke.
Seeing as I don't use it now I've placed it strategically next to the windowsill so that when the sun enters the room it casts sun spots all over the room during day time. A nice cheery ambience. No smoke, of course. Damn, wtf do I sound like, talking about mirrorballs, ffs! Great pics. :) |
