I don't really know to be honest. :S I have heard that type of effect before though, and a friend whose opinion i trust assured me dblue glitch is the source...

One thing you could try on the Virus:
Make a base sound using LP filters with a moderate amount of filter resonance and a cutoff set somewhere below half, then applying the following: 1. Add modulator: Mod Wheel -> ~35 -> LFO2>Filter1CutoffFreq 2. Change LFO 2 shape to Triangle. 3. Set LFO 2 Clock to 1/4. Now, by turning the "Rate" knob in the LFO section, you can adjust the LFO speed between 1/4, 1/8, 1/16th on the fly, and use the Mod Wheel to control how much the LFO affects the filter frequency. This should hopefully get you somewhere in the region of where you want to be to make this type of sound. :> -Annikk |
