Yes Drammy - in vB Paid Subscriptions can be set however you wish.. mandatory or voluntary. Usually though, for those people who voluntarily subscribe, one adds additional privileges such as additional PM's, access to otherwise restricted areas, fewer signature controls, 'Supporter' badges etc.

I wouldn?t mind paying a little to keep this board running (Paypal prefered). How much does it cost a year to keep it running?

At the moment it costs about ?200 a year. But I am looking into theMusicMan's suggestions in order to reduce the cost.
