Oh and how well does the Nord Lead compare to that Disco DSP Discovery vst which is a blatant copy?
Some software synths can come pretty close - ABL Bassline and the TB303 for example |

The original Nord lead 2s need a PCMCIA card to be able to dump patches to a sequencer. You also need it if you wanna store more than 40 patches! These are expensive now too. The Nordlead 2x doesn't need a card, but as the quality of the DA conversoin has changed they may sound different to the original. Don't know though - never tried one. As far as software being as good. Don't know about that either. When it comes to a real TB though, I don't agree, nothing touches it. |
Thanks for the heads up. :D
I'll have to be careful when looking for a Nord lead because most of the ebay sellers just happen to "forget" to mention that about the PCMCIA card  I know the nord lead 2 has more features than the nord lead 1, but quite a few people who have been selling the 1 claim it sounds better than the 2 :? I'd normally think it was just because they're trying to sell it. But ive heard a few other people say the same. Anyone on here know anything about that? Im just not sure which to buy |
that being said if i was going to buy one, which one should it be, a 8080 or a nord lead 2x?
